Market makers are there to make money. If their purposes are best served by trying to prevent rises then that is what they will do. An orderly, high volume market best suits them as this way they can make low risk profits. But on AIM the trading is typically quite disorderly so they need to stimulate activity or reign it in to generate their margins.

I wonder whether anyone else feels deprived of Vanadium price updates with the Chinese holidays this week. Sadly, I confess to getting a real buzz out of seeing the daily 2-3% rise, even if I know that it is not healthy long term!

I suspect that if BMN bought either REDT or the technology then UET would drop the resale relationship immediately. I know I would if I was in their situation.

I know that this is a cliché but it is also true: nothing goes up in a straight line.

Believe it or not, rising from 1.2p to 30p in less than 2 years is actually not a bad performance and was inevitably going to attract selling all along the way. Even if you got in at 25p+ it doesn't alter the fact that this has risen far and fast and people will sell purely on the basis of the profit they have made irrespective of how the fundamentals have changed.

What you should consider is that the fundamentals HAVE changed considerably and continue to do so such that higher prices can be supported. Back when it was 1.2p the fundamentals just did not support a 30p price tag but Vametco and the dramatic rise in the Vanadium price changed all of that. Those two things alone are enough to support much higher prices but there are other strings to the bow that MAY drive this even higher.

Whatever happens in the coming months/years one thing that can be guaranteed is that the price will not go up in a straight line and there will be selling all the way up.

Just to show that it is not only BMN or AIM, a tweet about AVL indicates the same issue on the ASX:

I hadn't noticed your post when I posted the same tweet subsequently.

The percentage of magnetite varies quite widely as can be seen in the different zones at Mokopane and is the reason why the AB zone, despite being the lowest grade overall, has the highest grade in magnetite.

Be careful with the grades. Those you quote for Bushveld projects are 'in magnetite' rather than for the whole ore body. 'In magnetite' is quoted because it is easy to magnetically separate the Vanadium containing ore and, hence, gives a better indication of the likely commercial viability of the project. The actual grades for Mokopane, for example, are:

MML: 52 Mt @ 1.48 per cent V2O5 (1.6-1.8 per cent V2O5 in magnetite);
MML-HW & Parting: 233 Mt @ 0.8 per cent V2O5 (1.5-1.6 per cent V2O5 in magnetite); and
AB Zone: 12 Mt @0.7 per cent V2O5 (>2 per cent V2O5 in magnetite)

Note that this is also V2O5 rather than contained Vanadium.

I don't consider listing on the JSE to be a panacea. The very few companies I have seen dual listed on UK/JSE markets have primarily been traded on the UK market with very few trades on the JSE.

The opposite is true. The board would like you to share rather than hold your own council. The problem lay in the fact that nobody knew anything about it or could find anything on Twitter. Your opinions are valued greatly and it would be a shame if you did not continue to share them.

Personally I believe that reduced volumes on down days and increased volumes on up days are good signs.
