RE: Buying opportunity5 Mar 2026 07:32
Im not sure that the price which would tempt us retail investors has much relevance if we get bought out. But the NSAI report commissioned 31 dec 2024 values RKHās share of sealion at usd 2,3b or roughly GBP 2,8 per share at $80 oil. Thatās a year ago and since progress are ongoing toward first oil and the report use a 10% annual discount, we should arrive at a fair value today of 3,1 GBP per share (a year or so later).
Current price of Brent is usd 83, so another slight increase in the numbers above.
Thatās only for sealion. Would I be ātemptedā to vote yes to a sale at 3 gbp per share? Possibly, but I would not feel that i hit the jackpot, despite the 4 fold increase from todayās share price.
Iām hoping a sale will occur but from much higher oil prices and that we retain some of sealion to maintain a steady cash flow while we go prove up the rest of our acreage.
