Another benefit of having a new partner come in, would be that it would remove any uncertainty of the current market value of RKH’s 35% ownership at this stage in the development. I suspect it would be a good deal higher than todays market cap of 230 mio and would result in an immediate rerate IMO

Yes LTT, I would be indeed. It is a misunderstanding on my part. I thought the entity that have bought our award and the insurance company was one and the same. I haven’t paid too much attention to the matter apart from moaning about the time it is taking lol.

Yeah it is ludicrous isn’t it?? If we are guaranteed 35m by the insurer regardless of the outcome, then how about they cough that up now, and whatever is outstanding can come later??. This would have been a prudent clause by Sam to have negotiated, in case the lawyers decided to milk this for another few years. I’m sure they must have tried and failed to include this in the agreement, but it does pose a small risk to our funding situation I feel

Nah you don’t say? The case was only just registered in 2017… don’t be unreasonable, it has only been 8 years. What can possibly be achieved in such a short timespan, apart from lesser significant events such as:

Boboil, I think you greatly overestimate how many Fxxx’s ICSID give about such - to them- irrelevant considerations. They will announce the decision on their website when it has been reached. It could well be that RKH or Italy beat them to it given the glacial pace they have proven to work at, but I am 100% convinced that they won’t the influenced by external circumstances one way or another.

Mine should have said 98p (rather than 89). I wanted to say 99 but it was taken. I can see us go to just under 1£ rather quick and then spend some time pushing through that psychological barrier. I actually consider that a conservative guess. Don’t forget the broader market doesn’t suffer from long term RKH PTSD and will value this correctly when the news flow starts. New investors who will start to come onboard soon, haven’t grown cynical from living in our little echo chamber for years by seeing good news resulting in either neutral or negative share price reactions time after time after time. RKH has truly been hammered! At time it has been justified but other time it has been as if this stock has been cursed. When oil prices dropped well we dropped because we are an oil company. When oil prices rose, well we dropped because we have no means of getting the oil out and therefore not correlated. When oil traded sideways, well we dropped for any number of Godd4mn reason.

But now the curse has finally lifted, and we have a long way to go before this becomes overvalued as opposed to undervalued. And I can’t wait to feel the vindication after all this frustration. I’m keeping the majority of my shares until we have broken the previous high. It will take a couple of years but that’ll be the fun part of the journey. There is only two certainties in life they say, I learned the truth of that in 2010 when we discovered oil. I would have bet the house on RKH ensuring me financially for the rest of my life (and in a way I did). When that RNS came out that they had discovered oil it was like winning the lottery, only for the price of oil to promptly fall from over $120 to around 25 and a 10 year longer oil exploration winter to ensue. I hadn’t seen that coming and buy did i pay the price! So no, its not a cetainty, but the risk/reward here has just never looked better than right now. imo

Initial production target is 55.000 barrels per day gross. Roughly 20.000 for rkh. That’s what i was going by. but as mentioned, it was merely an example. I firmly believe that over time RkH will produce far more than that unless we get an offer we can’t refuse by big oil…

While there is no way of knowing what the market decides to value RKH at when they are producing x amount of oil, as there are a million variables such as risk, market sentiment etc, perhaps a better way to look at it is to play around with different scenarios and then assign a likely Price/Earnings ratio to land at a resonance estimate.

From google :

“The Oil & Gas Exploration & Production industry has a total of 84 stocks, with a combined market cap of $750.09 billion, total revenue of $284.69 billion and a weighted average PE ratio of 13.84.“

So let’s say RKH’s earnings in a couple of years is

20000 BOD x £30 profit or barrel (after cost and taxes)

That’s £600.000 profit per day x 365 = £219 mio/ annual profit

If you then decide to apply the industry average P/E RKH will in theory have a market cap of of £3 billion which equals a share price of GBP 4.6.

Such valuation is unlikely from the get go as the market will likely want to see stable production and growth for a number of years, but then again new discoveries could push it further up. It really is guesswork, but if you use a low profit or barrel and a low P/E in your low case scenario, you should arrive at an achievable and realistic share price.
