Interesting. It's interesting how the likes of the 13p tree shake we saw a few weeks ago often reverts back close to where it was prior to the shake, seen the exact same thing a few times now on this and other shares...

Traded volumes really dropped off in the last few days! wonder if yesterdays rise continues

appychappy - yes looks like they sold some 17 million shares and some movement on "voting rights through financial instruments" not fully sure what that means. Just shows that if those 17m shares were sold off, over a week adds a few million to the daily volume and could supress share price. Maybe once they stop, the sp will recover a bit

Hi hope you don't mind me asking a question on your board. I am interested in gold mining companies and the raw asset itself. Now i know this is looking along way back into the past but how did gold producers stay in business say in 2004 when gold was like £220 an ounce. Unbelievable, even taking inflation into account that might be like £400-450 an ounce, must have felt like gold could be bough for "free" or to be less dramatic at a discount to its perceived value.

i wouldn't even have a clue about competitor dirty tricks but i guess it does happen, if a competitor managed to influence and drive down our share price, even by a small amount, that effectively robbed us to a degree, If the additional share placing had happened at a price more like 20-25p we would have been diluted to a much lessor degree.. BUt it has been a double edged sword i guess which regardless of why the share price fell, it has allowed some us to top up and average down. Not all have been able to do this though sadly. Perhaps naively i never think of the UK as a corrupt country, in the same way corruption is common in many counties, india, russia ukraine europe americas(more or less the whole world) but maybe it is and we just don't see it. Makes you wonder is such a thing could influence how some of the mutley writers write.....

Not to sure about the whole facebook and google advertising taking over the whole sector. I have never bought off a facebook add but google adds sure do follow me around on my devices, thanks!

Hi Members I'd say your over estimating or emphasing the risk. If it was going to fail it would have failed before now. I believe this is a different beast to some other companies you've mentioned. It's employing about a thousand people, it has some 1 billion of private and institutional money invested already, new successful fund raises, considerable sales agreements, new convertible bonds sold, offer of a revolving credit facility subject to let's say 15% yielding corporate bonds, and we think that they are not going to sell well. I think not, this is considerably derisked than we think

Hi I'm a big fan of greggs, visit their stores all over the country, nearly bought in when the share price was in the single pounds, 9 I think. Unhappy I missed the boat on this one, a good buy and hold when it was under 10. Recession proof to a degree. However they get alot of custom from trades people, in a bad recession if building and construction contract considerably this will hit their sales. Also they are over expanding in some towns with new stores cannibalising other stores. In my town I have 3 within a 10 minute walk on a straight road and others within the greater area. I feel sorry for the new franchise, going to be tough. But its a company I like and if the share price ever allows it to I may invest but for now I'll need to stick to other great cash generators

I remember after the placing I tried to think of a likely projection of the sp before the bond announcement. I guessed a absolute low of 12p but I guessed that we could hit 18-20p before the news of the bonds.... I guess I've been a little surprised in that we've gone low. Perhaps if we do see a sudden rapid spike up towards 20 that it could mean some leaked information. Either way a move up welcome. Perhaps there will be an rns when the bonds have a rating. That could perhaps give a partial rerating
