Yes i get the feeling there was something fishy about this situation. the brief rns that they knew would spook the market and the more detailed positive responses that they have given some of the press......

Pure speculation but looks like maybe a condition of getting the bonds away was to decimate the share price to allow new institutional buyers to hoover the shares up , -- then see a near 50% rerate when the bonds are announced as sold. A way of transferring wealth from us PI's to the insitutions -- sweet earner. Then they sell the shares. also may have aloud some funds close their shorts at a good profit....

Im annoyed by teh position it has put the likes of us in. This could be a damn good opportunity for new investors but for me, and many other , we have been invested for years and have filled our boots as much as we can afford too....

Just had a look on the ic website, mmmm they are falling in my naive respect. Their glory stock Burford capital still on a buy and their buy recommendation on sirius finally moved from buy to sell after months of not being updated. If you had followed their advice your portfolio would no doubt be suffering

think that was the 1st time i read a negative proactive article on sirius -- think there was two of them in fact, they are generally good reads -- maybe rolland ratty wrote for for them

Yes there could still be up definite upside COdey, but in my own personal circumstances my holding is over sized (or was) and can't risk more capital, guess it's get the bonds sold or i'm probably out

Indeed John, another rns is needed. I sincerely hope they do not come back to share holders cap in hand, 10B shares in ciculation eventually -- can just about accept that, more equity raised at 7-10p a share -- would not be happy about that. Ive invested what i can...

"it's not for the faint hearted" --- Ive thought in the past sirius should offer an hours counselling per 10,000 shares owned but then again if we are old enough to invest we should be old enough not to need hand holding.

Wish i had kept more powder dry -- but funds now are pretty much all tied up
whether this will work out or not feels very much in the balance, perhaps for the 1st time in my life i will set a very loose stop loss order -- at 6p, so as i keep approx half of what i have left

Perhaps another reason for the bonds being temporally pulled was bringing bonds to the market 1st week of August may get a thin reception. Do they not normally say the financial and business centres are a bit thin on the ground in this month, some countries just about shut down in August! Just a thought.

Bit sad looking at the list of share trades, lots of pi sizes holdings being sold. Hopes and dreams gone with them. Strangely I've taken the loss pretty well, increased holding by 15% maybe I'm deluded. But a few times in the past I've taken hits on other shares, sold out and then days later or few weeks, unexpected news hits and back up to exactly where it was... Hopefully the bond market will improve in next few weeks but what are the chances of that? Quite slim given the seriousness of global macro events. Here's hoping decent outcome

Perhaps for a government assistance, it would need to be November when near bankupt, 2000 about to be unemployed then the government might do something otherwise they may just be "not my problem" that said if the bonds are sold next month and we are above 16p we will be thinking why did we need to go through this? Alot of pain and in some cases irrecoverable losses for us. Hmmm

Just a damn shame we are at the end of a ten year bull market in such a mucky state with world economics and British political issues, talk of bad timing, pity this was not 2014

I think if sirius had put a little more effort into the rns, put a more positive spin on it, indicating the positive expression some parties had expressed in the bonds, that some other posters had indicated of, after speaking to investor relations, they could have preserved investor capital a bit better, oh to the day our sirius holding sees a financially positive bit of news!

One thing for sure is companies some time need to put things on pause (ref finance) I've read many times of companies delaying ipo's, this is similar, bonds delayed due to market conditions. Its going to be painful today, but I believe the company will continue with current share holders... Fingers crossed

Yes no doubt this has been a really bad month to get the bonds away, perfect storm of intensification of the US China trade tensions and brexit induced ftse turmoil. Pity the bonds had not gone in June. Interesting to see how the sp reacts, how much of this is priced in?
