Good results, bit surprised by the hedging, perhaps they'll miss out on further up side if copper ascends further which is possible, but 70% un hedged... Higher cap x mentioned. I've looked at tw often, good dividend policy indeed, recently sold Berkeley as did not like their div policy at all. Tw really seem to have turned their business into a profitable quality business, margins similar to bkg... I expect to see rdsb doing well this year, with the general economy expected to recover somewhat, expect or hope! Atb

I believe BP to be a mighty fine long term buy, 6% div and likely capital appreciation, just imo

Hey guys and gals, I hold BP added a bit back in November. How do you see the strengthening pound affecting the share price, I'm guessing, it puts a little downward pressure on the converted value of the dividend, and therefore on the share price, however the oil price remains near recent highs, was thinking to buy more but think the share price may move away from me, thoughts greatly appreciated, happy new year

Listen to whoever you wish to fatprofits, but back it up with copious quantities of your own research, saw mention of hmso in your post , yes that is one of about 23 positions I hold and its done very well since taking advantage of its rights issue, in fact this year from an investment perspective has been very very kind to me. This stock has gone nowhere in last three years, with a lower free cash flow than you may think If you take into account that they have taken 20billion in debt over past 10 years to cover acquisitions and the dividend, true free cash flow covers little more than the div in reality. Low growth stock, not impressed. Held for decades but guess its time to swap funds into something that will give me more than 3% or thereabouts a year...
