nsmith, I HAD intended doing what you plan for the very same reasons! Now that HL are saying I will get TSX shares, I will retain my holding. I like the idea of continued exposure to gold generally and HM particularly via Sandstorm and the cash portion will find a home in either HUR or SQZ!

Yes, or so they assure me! I have never held non UK stocsk with HLbefore but they say that I can still hold Sandstorm in my ISA or SIPP and deal online as normal.

For any of you still holding Marl with HL, you may be interested to know that when the deal goes through you will get Sandstorm shares listed on TSX NOT repeat NOT NYSE. This should allay any fears re tax or ability to trade. This has just been confirmed to me both by secure message AND direct from their Corporate Actions Team on the phone.

Lol! Yes, perhaps NOT spud!! I would be most interested in how Glen spins this and what his general demenour is. I would hope he is at least slightly defensive....

I'm still here with a much reduced holding. I would be amazed if this doesn't go through given all the buying by Hedgies. I would love it NOT to though, even though my remaining holding would undoubtedly take a hit. Like you Bushy, I am sightly surprised there has not been a trading halt. We will find out the result very soon...

Timings: Guernsey Court Meeting 10.00 EGM 10.15 AGM 10.30 so should get an RNS around midday...

The mechanics of the consolidation are all very well. What I am interested in is will it do anything to transform the prospects for SP growth? Will Tomco be seen as less of a (not even) penny share? I would certainly like to think that this is the start of a fight back and that Management are now refocussed on what we all invested in - oil shale. Let's see what happens Monday and whether the momentum from last week continues....

So, thats the resolutions passed. Cosolidation over the weekend so don't be alarmed if you share holding has shrunk on Monday!!!

I have a number of different accounts with HL and suspect that each one will be treated seperately for consolidation puposes, i.e. that each one will be rounded down to the nearest 25,000..... I am almost certain that yours will be too as I suspect they wont know that you are the same holder........

All depends what you bought at and whether you need the money! I would suggest that this has turned a corner and looking at trades today, may be on the move into double digits (albeit with the decimal poit in the "wrong" place!) in the near future....

Spud, same situation for me re losing money on AIM oillies - Xcite and Range Resources mainly. Thanks to MARL I have recouped losses and am now a little ahead. Frustrated that this could AND should have got me further ahead but hey ho. I still hold around a third of my shares but will probably sell before the deal goes through. (if it does!!)
