As for competition, I would hope that TCW's working relationship with BP (and our "early repayment" ) would put us at the front of the queue with them at least! I do agree that the market needs to see some results here, whatever the size, although I am hoping for something at least Erskine sized....

gbs, Good question. I agree that without another producing asset we are hardly in a bad position. However, if, and it is a big IF, we can get another deal as good as Erskine was, we would be mad not to take it. My concern, as mentioned earlier, is that our window of opportunity may be closing as the PoO rises...

I wouldnt be too sure of a leak. If there was one I would have expected bigger volume and a spike over 30p. I suspect this is just positioning in readiness for news, coupled with the oil price being over $60pb.

If production has halted or slowed significantly and the market had got wind of this, I would have expected a much more significant drop - back to low 20s. The company would be required to RNS any significant change to production so we would know fairly quickly.....

There have been a few posts lately implying that a - dreaded word - placing is imminent. Whilst I would like to be able to dismiss this, it has to be a possibility perhaps at the 26p mark. If this is so, I wish they would just get on with it as I am certain (blind faith?) that it will be for a "transformational" purchase!

Northern, I think we should work on the basis that the Company intend the acquisition WILL be this year if possible, so that they can deliver on their June AGM Presentation statement: "Well-placed to develop and grow � with success we believe 2017 will be a transformational year" The size of such an acquisition and how it is funded will be interesting. but I would prefer NOT to have an equity raise unless it is for an absolutely stonking deal that we can't fund otherwise... It is interesting to look at Chariot who have a funded Morocco drill H1 2018 by way of comparisson with SQZ and our Rowallan drill. They seem to be moving up in anticipation of mobilisation/spud already. Are we so misunderstood/unknown??
