Very nice days trading yesterday. Would not surprise me to wake on Monday to a (much anticipated ) Holdings RNS as late trading suggests to me that something is going on.....

Mav, not sure about a Santa Rally but completely agree re holders knowings this is worth much more than 63p and so refuse to sell! I could do with diversifying but wont consider selling any before 80p is offered and even then will retain 70 % Agree that cash build is all and time will bring its reward. Still cant believe we have not had a Holdings RNS. Surely someone has taken on 3% of this or the Hardys have dropped below 10%???

I do wonder if the mysterious . Hardy's have been selling yesterday and today but really would expect a holdings RNS or two to confirm.....

As an LTH the last week has been fab! Apart from my being stuck in hospital that is! Many thanks to the posters who have added value to the bb especially the financial analysis calcs for the deal. This has cheered me up no end! I, like many, really believed that TCW would deliver here and the "transformational" word doesn't seem to quite cover it to me! Certainly looks like an "over deliver" from where I am sitting. It will be fascinating to see how the market values this on re trading. I could do with some profit taking to reduce my top heavy exposure but am reluctant t let go cheaply. If we don't trade over 60p on restart it woud be a travesty and surely a cast iron take over opportunity for a predator. So what future Serica and TCW? Is this his final hurrah and retirement next summer on completion? Worse ways to go - or does he still have ambitions? Either way, I will be very pleased to no longer have the perennial "N. Sea Minnow" title applied to Serica again! ATB holders!

Well done Mommur! certainly a good day for holders! TCW was right to use the "transformational" word! Cant see any downside -we even get to keep our stash of accumulated cash I believe. Does this deal make us a a mid tier N Sea Independent rather than a "minnow"?

I thought the same thing until a poster (acklg?) pointed out that the Erskine deal was arranged at Poo of $100pb so I don't think we can rule out a good deal at $60pb. Agreed there is probably more competition now but I am still hopeful that our "special relationship" with BP will give rewards, as you say maybe including a Namibia farm out...

IF that were the case then I would definitely agree. However, I would be VERY disappointed if our experience BOD with all their contacts cannot find something better to do with the funds. For a "nimble" operator such as SQZ there WILL be opportunities but is the price right? With all the talk of peak oil, EVs, alternative fuel etc there will be some t are looking to get out of oil (note that yesterday the Norway sovereign wealth fund announced it is looking to significantly reduce exposure to oil). THAT is our opportunity as I really think there is enough of a future for oil to see me through to retirement with a big return on SQZ!

Based on the fact that we are so undervalued on current production alone, never mind the value of our other assets and tax losses, you would have say that a takeover is a very real possibility. Although it would be nice to see the SP higher on speculation, I do not believe that a T/O would give us the true value of this company. I would be gutted with an offer next month of, say 45p, as I believe that we can do so much better.....

As close to a "No Brainer" as is possible IMO. Only dipped back below 30p because Oil is back below $62pb.

Strange late surge in trades and tick up to 6p. Something brewing?

I would take 65p if it was this year. Otherwise I would be looking for 95p into next year...
