Is now regularly trading much higher volumes than AIM. Today already 432k to 281k....Not so long ago, 100k was good for TSX!

We are all entitled to air our opinions on here but I have to say that I have noticed your usually even handed and informative posts have taken on something of a patronising tone of late, as if lecturing a somewhat slow and difficult student. Maybe you are taking yourself just a little bit too seriously...?

I am unable to attend tonight but would be very interested to hear feed back from any that will be there. Please give Glen a hard time if you get the chance, specfically asking (if possible): When will we get an update on HM drilling results? Why shareholders should vote for the proposed merger? Why the BOD feel now is the time to do a deal rather after PFS?

tbh, I don't care whether it is normal or not! It smacks of feathering your nest at the expense of the PI ("you lot"). How can the BOD convince us that the deal is in our best interests when it QUITE clearly IS in theirs! And yes, you may say that I am naiive on the ways of the world, but I really don't mind THEM getting rich, so long as WE do too!

We do not have to " dream of what it's worth in the future".You may recall January's PEA; "We have always believed Hot Maden to be a world class deposit and, with a potential post-tax NPV for the base case mining scenario of $1.37B and post-tax IRR of 153%, this is certainly proven correct." So we KNOW what it is worth and it ain't some paltry £1.09 a share (and not even that with the SAND sp tanked).

mw83 - I have to say that, although I am absolutely no fan of Erdogan, I completely disagree with your analysis. He is not STUPID. He is a very canny operator who knows who his supporters are. Just becuase you disagree with him does not make him stupid or an idiot. And I believe you are too quick to write him off as rapidly disappearing or on borrowed time. I assume you have spent some time in Turkey, with Turks, in order to expound your theories? I have, and although I wouldn't pretend to be an expert, I consider that Erdogan will be "safe" in power as long as the Turkish economy continues to give the working class majority a "feel good" factor, and therfore continue their support for him. As far as Mariana and their investments in Turkey, I am happy with the risks, as Lidya are well connected to the government and in Turkey, connections are all! Erdogan will be well aware that Turkey needs FDI and although he might make confrontational speeches about Germany, Holland or elsewhere, he is pragmatic enough to know (IMO) that it is the economy that is the key to his power base. I really cannot believe that he and his administartion are a significant barrier to Mariana getting fair value for 30% of Hot Maden. Anyway, I will be voting no as I consider the proposed deal to be poor for MARL shareholders and I would be happier to wait until after PFS to determine what "we" do with our share of HM...
