Because CJ, I've realised that the science isn't the only thing that matters. It's obvious now here, and on other shares I own.

I used to own Spectris shares (bought them after I bought at AVCT). I sold them not long afterwards as they seemed to be fairly static, if not falling – which they did. Here's the line in my watchlist:

Today they went up 60% on takeover news. Great for the people who just bought but I see my bookmark is set at £40.30 and the price today is still 18.71% below what I paid for them.

So if AVCT had an offer today 60% higher than 33p, to many it would seem a good offer.

I'm sure I'll be buying some more in AVCT but not today and not for a while. In the meantime why don't you dial down the rhetoric and accept that not everyone agrees with you all the time.

You don't seem to be a very fair minded contributor CJ.( I – for one – welcome Wyn's opinion.)

So why would people listen to you when the sp has gone down around 25% from the time you said 45p was cheap.

I'm not looking for an argument but you don't actually speak for everyone on this BB and yet you appear to think you do.

Sometimes the array of top commercial folk at AVCT remind me of a house seller having the property on the market with multiple estate agents. I wonder to myself, if the property were good in these internet days, and the right price, it shouldn't need joint agents?

Why would I do that? (Why don’t you? ) Not only do I have a view which is the only requirement for posting, I also continue to hold shares.

Also, the people who’ve called this right so far (not you I’m afraid to say, though I have ticked some of your posts) deserve some support as they are in the minority.

But the SP fell so the CEO wasn't exactly believed. Maybe she will have a 'told you so' moment, maybe not. It just depends on your own view on what's most likely to happen next.

In my own view, having had multiple expensive disappointments over the years with AVCT and other companies, I will wait for the next CLN payment due date, if not the one after that, before putting more money in.

Finally, good news regarding AVCT – and on a Saturday!

I scaled back as the sp fell, to the point that AVCT is my smallest holding now, at a big loss. I could have timed my partial withdrawal better as I missed out on the NED rise. I’ve kept some though as I annti existing shareholders will be able to buy in a retail offer more easily than non-shareholders and I doubt there’ll be much of a restriction or scaling back for existing shareholders.

I imagine I’ll get some money out of WG (thanks to ICE) before I need it here.

I asked that since Dox is used on cats and dogs why don't they license it out and let an animal chemo pay them some money. CC answered a completely different question. I never ever suggested that AVCT do this themselves.

Of course, it's not that some licence deal and accompanying income stream would be useful right now. Not at all, it's all fine and dandy with plenty of cash till...

Even that article link you posted had contradictions I thought. One tip was sell a portion when you are in profit. Another tip was buy more when you have a winner and let go of your duds..

I have certainly managed to reduce the emotional side of the relationship with AVCT and buying now would still be at a far lower price than my average price paid over the years.

It's unthinkable (almost) but if the delays have been caused by some big event to be reported, maybe they could still delay tomorrow morning again? If they had to delay twice then how could they KNOW it'll be sorted by tonight (presumably tonight is the deadline anyway).

Having agree with HarC I personally take your point Wyn. But drawing a line under the CLN – which is currently a moving 'dilution' target – would be a good move.

I reduced my holding in AVCT when the SP was around 30p. Put most of proceeds elsewhere (which has gone well) so not in an easy position to buy-back atm.

And Monday is a defo a better day for good news than a Friday so AVCT would be making a good choice on when to release the good news..
