I don't have time to go back through notifications but the 'sustainably profitable in 2022' was in the webinar only wasn't it? i.e. not in the RNS.

Obviously it has mislead us. But, from her point of view and she knows the figures more intimately than us, maybe she feels it's still true as she could have meant 'had they wanted to post profit' as a priority over investing in the business, to the long term detriment of the business.

I have confidence in CC. Compared to the old crowd she is a saint.

Buyers coming back in. I think people are realising that the results yesterday are indeed showing positives after the disappointment of 'no sustainable profit' after all, in 2022.

Yanis, I do think you'll be ok with that average. My averages are lower (and got lower yesterday; 3.43p and 3.25p) so I guess easier for me to feel more comfortable. I sold my F&S holding in eve with the intention of bed and breakfasting into my ISA but the money can't be transferred for a couple of days so, in the rush yesterday, I re-bought in my F&S. I might sell sooner next time with the same plan. These patterns have a habit of repeating.

If they have spare cash I imagine they have up to March to get in. By March update deliveries must surely be improved, and more cash in the bank if only due to fewer refunds with the 365 day trial. I thought yesterday that todays TU might be the last poor one; I hope I am correct.

Likely that I'm just being gullible (though I'm informed they took 'gullible' out of the dictionary as a word a while ago) but my impression of the meeting was:

They could have manipulated the figures to show a profit but would rather have a stronger company long term. That should be good for us all.

Quite a bit of cash is tied up in stock which has kept their lead times low, and lower times than the competitors.

365 day trial should be a good thing (and as I've said before, we shouldn't have many returns in 2022) for sales and for consumers.

Phone lines are more expensive than 'Chat' which will be working again soon, if not already. For me, chat is fine if it works. It allows one agent to handle up to 4 chats.

At a personal level I have more shares than I did yesterday. That helps me with the drop in the sp, but then I was not expecting a big rise either as these were 2021 figures and profit was not going to be announced today (unless she wanted to surprise us today which is not her style, we know).

were you able to tune in wyn? I did feel she and Tim handled most issues quite well. We knew they were building stock and if some cash is now stock it's not really such a fall in cash.

By the time we get to March the logistics should be improved as covid moves to the background and that will be reflected in TP. The sleep away range ("selling like hot-cakes") should make an impression, and more customer service staff. And of course this un-mentioned channel 4 advertising oughta have kicked in (unless they are not taking advantage of their prize which would be very odd).

Someone building a stake will show up as a series of large buys. They might not have to file a TR1 while they're building but we'd notice the buys and the SP would rise.

So long as they don't take it private and there's no sign of that then any takeover would be at a way higher price that 2.8.

Incidentally, my 2.74p buy shows as a sell.

She made a good point that the Sloth took a while to get results and now the French advert is beginning to work. I wish I'd asked about Channel 4 advertising. Still, probably something that would have to wait to be revealed or she'd have mentioned it.

Surfie, I sold 300,000 shares at 8.10am this morning, and bought them back (and got more for the same money) during the meeting.

I thought she explained quite well that they are building a stronger profitable business in the long term. And not 'pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap' like emma.

I'm with Ci on Cheryl; she can't have gone from fab to no-good in just a few months. And she's great on spotting trends and marketing. She does need to sort delivery out though.

Yesterday, I did mention here that I'd sold the shares outside my ISA; I try to say it how I see it. There's a pattern isn't there of rises into the TUs and then a fall afterwards. At worst I intended to move the cash into my ISA and then buy back at perhaps a lower price. The plan has kind of worked too well..

I'm sure CC will have info on why the profit has moved further into the distance. It's the first time she's 'let us down' with her estimates and she won't be thrilled. I would much rather stick with her (who we know) than someone new; it'd take us a year to work out if they told the truth and by then CC should have sorted things out anyway.

So would I buy more? If there is a TO then the price would certainly rocket (in relative terms). We should also be profitable sooner or later and then the sp would be much higher than it is today. A year is a long time to wait though for most investors so what for the SP in the next 12 months barring a TO? I guess it will flounder..

Overall I am well-down on eve but the two times I have made a profit have been the times I've bought low and told just before TU and on the CBD bubble. I suppose I should stick with that strategy as it has worked before.

There are other shares I'm in and some look very good but equally, good-looking shares have let me down badly too. I'll certainly try to stick with eve as I do anticipate it being profitable at some point, and eve being around for quite a while.

I did sell some yesterday at 3.4 with the expectation that the price would fall as I still thought profit would be in late 2022 rather than 2021, and that would disappoint people. I wasn't expecting profit to be moved even further back to '23 at the earliest.

The TP numbers had fallen (year on year) in November and December so that's why I sold some. This morning my stop-loss also kicked in on 30% of my core holding. I imagine that I'll be able to buy them back at some point in the next few months; perhaps end up with more than I started with.

I can't really see what the meeting can do to lift spirits but still worth watching no doubt.
