Hi Wyn, I don't read individual TP reviews often now but people do send them back and not always because the customer is disappointed ('too big for the room'; 'I like it but my wife doesn't' etc.) and when they can't give back their mattresses – along with the people who are disappointed – within the 365 day return period and take to TP in large numbers, it would be very unsettling for the potential new buyers who probably do all their research on-line first. That was what I was meaning.

You and I would know the new buyer would have a new guarantee and we'd be safe but even then, might eve 'fail' again if it's happened once?

I think it would be hard for the new owner, if bought from Admin, to shake off the repetitional damage of 10 yr guarantee cancellation for existing owners (me included!). Could be a spur to buying in advance of Admin but potential new owners seem pretty hard nosed to allow it go this far if they are indeed negotiating.

Tbh, I can't think of any business that makes each and every sale from day one at a profit. I'm not 'having a go' dontgive, but even the cafe at the end of the road (even if they got their building for free) has to buy a coffee maker (and a cup and saucer; milk) before they sell a single cup of coffee – and the first coffee will not make enough money to be profitable. It will take many cups of coffee, weighted cakes, morphee croissants, before a profit is turned.

With eve it's just the unprofitable period has gone on... and on... and on... rather longer than any one (maybe with the exception of wyn ;-) expected / predicted.

And coffee beans just got more expensive, electricity too, at just the time few can afford a take-away coffee.

On the plus side, remember we have a new Prime Minister. Given what she's achieved in the last two weeks, just think what she'll be able to manage in the next couple of years.

You're absolutely correct investinme. I stand corrected. They paid near to 100p I believe, maybe more (I could look it up but really have better things to do :-) and if the price goes to around 100p again they will come out 'even'. Good luck to them, and to you.

They (and other significant holders) didn’t buy in June. They were required to say what their holding amounted to as part of the FSP. They have held for years, as have DN and C4. They have lost lots on eve.

Yes £2m would buy more time, and extra couple of months, maybe more. Who knows what might happen during those extra weeks, but, I doubt the economic situation will alter very much between October and January / February. I don't need to spell out ant more what I'm saying; essentially the same would have happened (whatever 'same' turns out to be) but just a bit later.

Have I missed the moment? Yes, Truce, Pax, Barlies, whatever works for all.

they are probably content to have people reproduce their posts, especially when their posts are intended to encourage people to a) stop smoking and b) get a cough checked out if it lasts longer than 3 weeks.

If you weren't such buddies with Ripley (who recently threatened me on another BB) you would not have taken any 'offence'. As I have noted before, you are easily lead.

People should post on here without fear of being threatened and that's why I continue to post. If it helps people with information, so much the better. As for bad language, the adage 'less is more' is a good maxim.

Can anyone speculate what 'good' biopsy data could reveal? That mutations have slowed? That the cells are damaged or high proportion of dead cells? Presumably the aim is to kill the tumour so being unable to find the tumour to obtain biopsy material would be the best of all news.

This lady https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/surrey-news/my-world-fell-apart-surrey-20831883 was on the BBC news around 15 months ago. She had lung cancer of a type that AVCT might have helped with. She was easy to contact as her job was local councillor. I messaged about AVA6000 trial at the Marsden, sent appropriate updates, and she replied with briefl thanks a couple of times. I've no idea whether she was on the trial or not. I see from her Facebook page that she passed away a couple of weeks ago:

A liquid biopsy, also known as fluid biopsy or fluid phase biopsy, is the sampling and analysis of non-solid biological tissue, primarily blood.[1][2] Like traditional biopsy, this type of technique is mainly used as a diagnostic and monitoring tool for diseases such as cancer, with the added benefit of being largely non-invasive. Liquid biopsies may also be used to validate the efficiency of a cancer treatment drug by taking multiple samples in the span of a few weeks. The technology may also prove beneficial for patients after treatment to monitor relapse.[3]

The clinical implementation of liquid biopsies is not yet widespread but is becoming standard of care in some areas.[4]
