With 50% off today, people who bought yesterday would instantly send things back and re-buy at the new discount. So there can't be enough time for that to happen.

Hi Dontgive, it doesn't fit well with any deal behind the scenes does it. Seems eve would rather sell stuff at a loss to get cash into the bank. (I'm aware they've always sold at a loss, but you know the difference now..).

The 'sum' seems to me whether buying out of admin without the liabilities is better than buying now. Main problem with the admin route is the people you cheese-off who have a year to return mattresses and the 10 year guarantees (sorry Wyn, I did mix them up yesterday but to me they are very similar in nature).

Would there be a third option (of no help to holders here) of buying eve out of admin at a knockdown price but still honouring the the grantees and 'refund option' of people who have a year to return their mattress, no questions asked. It might not cost that much (they don't seem to honour the 10 yr 'guarantee' for people very often unless the sagging is huge, and that's rare) and the 365 days return policy won't affect that many mattresses and only a year more to run at any one time.

If the new owner treats old customers well then things would appear to carry on as normal, but without the most onerous liabilities.

Dontgive, we won't agree but I still fell that if it was *just* a problem with the eve management I suspect it more likely that another entity would buy up the brand as, by definition, another entity's (better) management would be able to sort it out and we all know that eve have a lot of positives as a brand (the sleep away series to mention one).

I think that the lack (so far) of a buyer reflects on the potential suitors having problems of their own to contend with. While they might like to have eve they are not willing to risk being dragged down themselves.

Yes, loss makers won't be 'fresh' buys for me for a very long time. I have enough of them :)

I do tend to think 'if only' rather a lot! If only I'd sold the lot at 6p (as advised to by sensible Mrs Geeman!) on the CBD spike; sold when I was blue for those several months of 5p; not bought back when I did sell at 3p at a slight loss, and even rather depressing to think that if I'd stuck to the plan to keep 1/3 in case there was a bounce..

(I am still extremely interested to see how it plays out.)

But still thinking that if AVCT do well ( big IF) my PF could still get sorted out. Trouble is, being this far down, what I do hold has to multi-bag from here. I'm an optimistic sort so still happy to be in the game. And when I see how stocks like Boo have gone from 360p (in my time) to the 38p, it must work the other way when results are good and the war in Ukraine is over. Just need to be patient I guess.

I have some COPL. Are they on your watch list? I am well down there too but 'showing signs' .
