I have a neighbour who might benefit but very tricky to get involved. She has probably already had too much dox, and, would you go on a trial because a random neighbour mentioned it?

I do remember a fleeting moment when AVCT, Tils and SNG were all 180p... What an age ago. (And I was completely in the blue, thought investing was easy money!)

Tiziana Tils issued 1 new share for 20 old ones, to allow their move.. And also split off Accustem which is now OTC in US. Confused the hell out of everyone, and still does at times.

Before the Nas they briefly became main market (left AIM) which might have had something to do with it. I do forget the exact order of events but that might have been at the point they reduced the number of shares 20:1.

Looks like $4 to join Nas and $1 to continue without being ejected! That's where I got the $1 from, and TLSA are currently $0.61, which explains my false memory. (I could say you're often right but others might clog up the bb if I did!).

Morning Wyn. I think it's $1 (and from memory) for a minimum 10 consecutive sessions and then, if below one dollar, 6 months' grace, and a possible extension. $TLSA isn't compliant now.

Laytenso, in my experience (limited to two only companies) HL was pretty seamless though brokers are dependent on the company allowing their shares to trade on Nas immediately or at least in a timely manner.
Trading 212 sold people's shares (against their will) and sent them the money with $TLSA whereas HL kept shares in my ISA (or with ACUT moved them to my F&S). I recall some people complain about a couple of other brokers being slow but with AVCT's market capital I wouldn't worry – unless you're with 212, then who knows.

You'd need to fill out the online W-8BEN form with any broker.

If fund managers are there and they know the business they could be forgiven for at least asking questions on anything to do with AVCT I'd imagine. Would you invest in a business for the first time if the CEO refused to answer your diagnostics question as 'today is all about therapeutics'...

Moves to Nasdaq haven't gone well for 4D, nor for Tiziana, but AVCT isn't the same company and actually still early-days for TILS.

We often discuss chemo without side effects but I found this piece on the dental side effects of radiotherapy. It says 'preventable' with good care but clearly not always happening, and P1b might include head and neck cancers, which could reduce the need for such radiotherapy. Question for science day; will AVA6k chemo replace radiotherapy in some cases?

'Radiotherapy to the head and neck region has oral side effects and can lead to catastrophic dental deterioration, but this is largely preventable. This article describes the case of a patient whose dentition was irreparably compromised after radical radiotherapy for a soft palate cancer. Bearing in mind the SP action for the last week I'd be more content that fund managers are behind the curve on AVCT than the alternative scenario; that they know everything and yet the share price has fallen.

I don’t know and I can’t ask. She hasn’t heard but there could be many reasons. She could simply be focussed on another sector.
I mentioned avct to the dad in case he wanted to invest himself. He didn’t as he’s not into pharma. It was him who offered to find out more rather than me asking.

Anyway, avct is not as widely known yet as we might like it to be.

There's a school gate dad I know distantly, who manages a (modest sized, I assume) investment fund. I've never talked shares to him before now. However, on the strength of the results RNS (and emboldened by the sp rise that day) I finally felt confident enough to mention Avacta to him. Turns out that he doesn't invest in pharma stocks at all but a wife of his colleague does manage pharmas in her PF. So the message went out 'what does she think of Avacta?'.

I got a reply this morning. Turns out she's never even heard of Avacta. So maybe that's part of the problem with the reaction. Here's the email:

'My friend came back to me and said his wife has not heard about Avacta. I assume it is a small cap company that is not included in institutional portfolios.
In general, small caps in the pharma sector tend to be kind of binary stocks – you can make a lot of money or lose it all. Visibility on the success off new products is very low for non-experts. Hence, I think you should consider such investments a bit like betting on horses – can be fun but over the longer term rather does not make money.

Incidentally, my wife works in gas industry and HE1 was the only share in my PF she thought I should buy. (She banned me from buying shares in her own company and they are up 100% since I bookmarked them. The way it goes I guess.)

PL, you wouldn't take notice of someone who makes sensible comments? I'm surprised. You don't know my exposure in HE1 but I assure you it was a smaller amount than in AVCT.

And 5p to £5.00 would do nicely thank you very much.

Evening PL. In fact (and I repeat myself) I bought HE1 after Trek Madone (usual caveats) made the case for it and predicted £5 sp for it. I still hold HE1 (probably unlike Wyn) too.

No Bein, I am my own person. I guarantee that though I don't expect you to believe. When I post here I write as if someone I know might stumble across my computer and read my comments, and I wouldn't be at all embarrassed – even if it was my wife's priest.

It's a shame more people don't imagine their accounts could be read by their acquaintances in my view.
