ZOO - For myself, I am glad to be out of this stock with a few bits of the attered shirt that I put in there! Nicksig - the best economists and fund managers regularly get their forecasts and predictions wrong. Shareguru, while perhaps occasionally overenthusiastic, got this one wrong, but assuredly got ELP right (at least for the moment!), and NPE looks quite a good bet as these things go. To repeat, SG does not warrant castigating, for we are all adults (most of the time!) and are responsible for our own investment and other actions.

ZOO - nicksig .... I hope your last post just reflects your own personal gloom and is not a swipe at shareguru, who does not deserve it. Sure he reommended this share, but put his money with his mouth. That said, I am more than glad I cut my losses. My own view is that this company is damn near dead and, as you mentioned, profit warnings rarely come singly.

Surely DGM have scarcely moved for a month, so why the beating of breast and gnashing of teeth?

CER - Hi self .... assume that was very much a tongue in cheek comment from you! I have been a CER fan for quite a while. I merely passed sensible comment back to you re EKA .... I still think there is an awful lot of upside potential with CER, though it may well take some patience.

Is there any way the management can put a spanner in the works of these bloody spammers lik Hemscott who regularly gum up the works!?

To my surprise, this morning's market has opened surprisingly stable, though Wall Street futures show very little recovery ..... Keep your powder dry for the moment and wait for developments in one driection or another.

There is an old market adage along the lines of when New York sneezes, the world gets a cold ...... Friday's horrible day in NY will assuredly have a knock-on effect around the world. Whether this will just be a momentary blip of prhaps a fewe days/weeks or a sea-change in sentiment, no one can yet tell. I am inclined towards the former and hope that i am right. That said, there will be much sackcloth and ashes among those trading on margin and cannot afford to sit it out, with resulting forced sales having perhaps a disproportionate effect on prices ..... ELP may be an interesting one watch in that respect isofar as it is a stock that has been much hyped and followed by this BB.

Jameel, please be careful about putting all or even the majority of your eggs in one basket .... As for rushing to buy tomorrow, I think I would be inclined to hold off until I can see exactly where the market is headed. For sure, it will open quite a lot lower and probably head lower, certainly for the morning. Hwo quickly the market will recover, or continue to fall, is a matter of fine judgement.

EKA - Very brief research indicates that liquidity in this stock is very limited. That is to say NMS (normal market size) is just 2000, whereas CER, itself not often heavily traded, is 15000. As you say yourself, CER holds 22% of EKA, so by buying into CER, you are also buying into EKA anyway .... and also VOG by the way.

I think Nikkei will probably bomb when it opens on Monday, primarily on the back of Wall Street ... That being so, that is an interesting play.

In that case, you may also like to consider VOG (buy on a dip) and that ugly duckling Morrison's ..... Gold may be worth getting back into again; wait for a dip to $545 and buy, but gently, for it could/would still have potential $20 downside.

CER - Yes, I know this is one of my fave spivvy (speccy) mining stocks! ..... Anyway, it is interseting to see that Deutsche Bank now holds about 12% of the company, having steadily increased its holding during December ..... If you can hold your breath long enough, I remain confident that this stock will fly again, having fallen significatly in recent months.
