PXC - Very rare for "my man" to get that sort of info wrong .... I'll ask him about it in the morning.

PCX - Very. Apparently should be in papers tomorrow or perhaps day after ..... Sod's law says that this time the info is wrong, but I would very strongly doubt it.

KCOM - Deano (I think it was) was the whizz on this stock, and to be honest, there were press reports that the deal for Hull's 30% was actually or effectively a done deal. As there has been no announcement, it may be that the premature release put a spanner in the works. Nevertheless, form what i can, KCOM is a pretty tasty morsel for the predators, so i guess it should happen sooner or later. For myself, I am happy to stay put - as I am with VOG.

KCOM - By the looks of all the small selling orders, the "frothy boys" are being squeezed for cash or margins or both ..... For all that, the price has held very steady and is even up a smidge on a day of big falls following Intel's bad results.

PXC - my excellent source tell me that Pipex concluded a very successful placing yesterday @ 13p. This has been into "safe" hands rather than with hedge funds who would be likely to trade same.

ELP - poor old Mussy! he was only voicing an opinion which, as it happens, I share ..... Anyone is free to invest their money where they choose, or even tear it up and chuck it down a dry well!

ELP - I wouldn't and haven't! ..... For all the reasons I have given in previous postings ...... All share dealing is intrinsically risky, and I reckon there are much shorter odds and better companies with proper assets where very significant profits can be made.

ELP - gald to see that suddenly I am notr the only one to voice a note of extreme caution. Up to now, I had begun to think it was just me being grumpy because I refused to join the bun fight as the shares climbed.

PXC - FYI normal trading size is 100k, so depending on how well you intend to fill your boots, you may or may not be able to buy more - or even, for that matter, that many

PXC - Let's put it this way Bilbo ..... Though I know nothing, I also suspect a predator is around, BT being one of the more obvious possibles .... For my part, having doubled my holding today to about 50% of my usual stake, I shall be thinking seriously overnight of bringing that up to 100%.

PXC .... or words to that effect .... Have just noted the 2 massive buy orders (15 million) at the very end of the day. Either someone is very brave indeed or something juicy must surely be imminent.

DGM - nicksig - far be it from me to tell you how to manage your investments, but it looks to me that, unless you are nursing a very substantial loss, it's time to cut your losses and find a more profitable enterprise .... even ELP looks a better bet, and you know my views there ... lol!

DGM - nicksig - on the small window visible, there is a sale of 100k and another of 250k and yet another of 45k ..... Why would you be so keen to stay in this stock?

MPH - despite the little flurry, the volume is still below the average of 468k ..... but worth watching closely

I think the correct term is "decline to report"

MPH - I think that is the term they use in the Navy when anything else said would be rather more pungent!

CHP - perhaps its smoke from the campfire to keep of the chill of the snow in Colombia ..... sorry; a bit laboured i know!

MPH - I follow this stock very closely and in fact took a very tasty profit just before Christmas when shorting. Since that time, the sellers have dried up and buying has been steady if unspectacular. My guess is that MPH have found a label to replace Boateng and YSL, and no doubt that will create a bit of excitement and the chance of a fairly quick turn (I am have already bought). For all that, I still think the management lacks judgement ..... A polite way of saying that I think their very expensive spat with Boateng was brought about by stupidity and an inflated ego; no way to run a business! The actual cost of the Boateng fiasco has yet to be revealed, but must surely reflect in when the figures for the year are eventually published in May ...... Unless something amazing happens, I shall be well out of this stock by then and may well be short again.
