21/11 was the second profit warning inside 3 months ...... Week old fish smells better (to me) that this stock ...... Plenty of better and fresher fish in the sea!

DGM - Nicksig ... If you are already holding this stock, then bad luck, but as it is now almost worthless, it is probably not worth liquidating the position. However, the warning of 21/11 shown above looks to presage more bad news to come ..... Why on earth would anyone want to put new money on the line?

CHG - I don't dispute what KWB says at all, but be aware that stock may be very short - e.g. I had great difficulty picking up just 1500 shares on Friday ..... The good news, if you already hold them, is the implication that there are few sellers about. By the way KWB, it was disappointing to see no press comment in the Sundays at all ... or at least none that i know of.

BFC - purchase by the directors of £40k of stock is scarcely anything to write home about ... Still, if you are a holder of BFC shares, be thankful they weren't dumping £400k-worth!

BFC - Friday's trades still look to have been predominantly sales; I also have strong suspicions that there is a large bear postion in this stock ..... Two things could happen .... A bear squeeze could send the price sharply higher or the bears could be proved right and BFC drops into the abyss. Certainly this company is in pretty dire financial straits. DOO rapidly pulled away from their takeover talks, for which draw your own conclusions. Though the shareholders agreed the company could increase its borrowing, that is totally different from finding additional funding. For myself, I shall just keep a very close watch, but my inclination is to side with the bears ..... A prospective purchaser may well decide that he can wait (and wait) and pick up the juicy pieces for a song from the administrator.

IDD - market makers pricing is not always as logical as balancing according to volume of buying and selling ..... However, if you look at the total day sales, you will see another block of 500,000 was sold at 10:34 .... Perhaps the sellers know more than you chaps!

CHG - tight as the proverbial gnat's actually! managed to squeeze a paltry £1500-worth at the price I was prepared to pay ..... Still, as KWB1 says, that probably augurs well for the press reports over the w/e.

DOO - and BFC for that matter are at the forefront of companies getting in on the green fuel act. However, both will have to survive long enough, and that could be a looooong time, before they reap the benefits of their foresight. Whether either company will survive to profiatbility is very debatable.

Still no news that I have seen, but some solid buying for the second day running.

CHEMRING - at least this company is very well established and reputable. From memory they were spun off from the old GEC.

FGO - profit warnings have a nasty habit of coming in more than single units .... don't try to catch the falling knife!

Deano - I still have a low opinion of the management at MPH, but per my post, agree there now look to be buyers (have already done so myself!) ..... but where does your 18.25p come from and who or what is GCI?

DGM - I have no interest at all in this company so no axe to grind ..... Be aware of the old stock market adage that bad figures take far longer to ad up than good.

MPH - I am on record as being very bearish of this stock. However, over the last weeks, selling has dried up and has switched to buying, sometimes in quite reasonable size. There is no obvious reason for this, though perhaps someone knows better than I (not difficult!) so perhaps there is a chance of reasonable profits to be made over the coming weeks on the upside.

They will probably spend "the other£900" of 6 bottles of Cristal and use the change for the taxi home!

CER at long last seems to be coming back to life, and pretty sharpish too! While profit taking can be seen elsewhere in the market, CER having crept up a few pennies over the last few days, has suddenly jumped by 20+. I know CER had some (typical!) problems with a would-be or actual Russian partner/shareholder, which was why they tumbled a couple of months back, so I wonder if all this has now been resolved.
