CHP - per my earlier post on ELP, expect lots of turbulence amongst the minnows for probably a day or two.The seeming "disaster report" on ELP's drilling in Jaguar field has unsurprisingly slammed ELP's sp and there will be subsequent ripples. As for CHP, I am very comfortable with my holding here.

ELP - I menat to post previously as Strong Sell. Mussy - it is unseemly at best to gloat over the misfortune of others. KZNA - if you want to put your money with Regal (RPT), the good luck to you, but it makes ELP look like a rock solid buy ..... Suggest you read the long article on oilbarrel.com

ELP - managed to get out at 25.5 and am now SHORT ...... if this well is indeed dry, then IMO this company is potentially on the skids ...... as already well documented, i do not care for the management who seemingly live high on the hog while the company lacks the wherewithall and assets to support ..... if market sentiment has now changed, then it will be one-way traffic in these.

ELP - dun me bollox? ..... quite possibly by the look of it, but even if share goes to ZERO, my exposure is/was such that damage is limited ..... Expect fallout elsewhere in the minnows if lemmings are forced to liquidate holdings to cover these losses.

ELP - pre-market has slashed sp to 27p

GFX - to tizza - am having a little look at this one beingi n a similar field, and also think BVC is well worth a look (totally diffferent)

BVC - read the article above re new orders (24th Feb) and earlier ones about trading, and IMO this has to be a buy, notwithstanding that there has been a price recovery today.

CHP - the true closing mid-price was 17.48

DOO - if you are in at 230 you are still in the money, albeit not by much ..... having been fairly scathing about this sector in the past, i am now something of a convert and have taken quite a liking to the prospects of this company.

Time to give debbie a new name .... Gnomette ..... She lives/works in Zurich and it will bring her down to lifesize ..... Debs - you know i love you really ..... lol!!

DOO - if the sudden drop to a closing mid price of 238.50 is real rather than just one of those occasional silly prices one gets at closing, then the implication is that the lemmings have started to jump (or being pushed) over the cliff ...... opening up a possible over-sold postion and thus a buying opportunity.

CHP - almost certainly means that the traded price could be either a bu or a sell ..... type of trade shown on this site is known not to be 100% accurate anyway

GGEA - IG CFD trading - if stuck, speak to Warren Firth or if he isn't around then Damian

GGEA - I suspect that IG do not deal in GGEA but only GOOG (US ticker) ...... It all depends on what sort of account you have with IG, but I suggest you give them a ring ..... They are very helpful; if you need a name, let me know, but should imagine you already have a contact. FYI, I have decided to steer clear of GOOG at least for a while ...... I made money and I lost money, probably with an overall negative ..... GOOG is very difficult to trade with logic and it is almost imperative that you are in a position to monitor it full time as it can move hugely in minutes ..... good luck! With regards to US stocks, I am now looking very closely at SGR and expect to buy some in the very foreseeable future, but have not quite worked out what price I am prepared to get in at.

SVE - sorry to disagree debbie, but this isn't even a twopenny-ha'penny company ...... half-year profits of £50k down from £466k and turnover of only £203k makes this not worth considering at all .... you are far better off investing direct in the underlying companies in which SEV has some sort of holding

SUB - storm - i know nothing whatsoever about this company so cannot comment as to whether or not it warrants my money ..... It is also in an entirely different field from Chaco (CHP), so it is like asking me to compare apples with oranges.

CHP - storm - it is never a bad thing to get out while ahead of the game, but IMO this stock has a good future, though it may take a little while to unfold ..... Meanwhile, the lemmings will rush in and out in their customary manner, and I shall use some of my holding as a trading postion, with the balance as long(ish) term

ELP - so Monday morning sees the lemmings arrive in force! ..... Depending on your nerves, there is good reason to take profits in at lest some of your holdings ..... or if you are a big gambler, then hang on until the announcement ...... This is certainly no time to be piling in.

CHP - steer clear while the dust settles, as the price is tumbling .... only a minute or two since my last post, but now down 3p ...... Almost certainly just profit-taking, but you never know

CHP - a very unkind move this morning, as sp is currently down 2p (live time), and I have just topped up ...... watch and wait, or even buy some if you have the courage and the cash.
