The time of max confidence (but no profits) in JOG stock will surely be at successful FID ( 2024 H2 ?)

After that wont the SP just meander sideways until oil profits start in 2026 before the SP can be expected to rise further ?

Hello Jim333, MPO818, and Varnish who have highlighted ST in Investors Chronicle.

ST convinced me about 6 months ago and despite JOG disappointing, and indeed ST not attempting to explain this, I am in for the long haul.

But I understand ST has recently confirmed his convictions on Online Investors Chronicle..

I do not wish to subscribe to that but dont mind purchasing the mag at WH Smith if it has that ST further endorsement about JOG.

So picked through the current 15/9 -22/9 IC at WH Smith and ST doesn't mention JOG DESPITE JOG Interims just been published.

Surety, going back a couple of months there was the great concern about Starmer announcing no 'new NS oil' etc, but

clarifications that exiting contracts would be allowed to proceed and the debate on this board has seem to accept that JOG wont be stopped by a new Labour government.

With the oil companies already being hit by windfall taxes, Starmer again seems to be talking about an unspecified' industry unspecified' Windfall Tax.

But I haven't heard any threats to EPL - has Labour said or hinted anything about it so far ?

ALG - I agree with you about AB and the minimal company announcements - as you say when there is something definite

we get told - thats OK with me as we understand AB's style.

Just a little negative thought re your comment - " AB says 'creating additional value through securing further farm-outs" PLURAL. I wonder what this could mean for the final slice of the project.' "

Just maybe 'plural' is essential as no one else wants to take NEO size mouthfuls.

I agree DU, we definitely need a new Centre Right Party in this country devoid of all the Tory Party baggage like

'modernisation' which consists of embracing Labour policies and Wokeism.

Their latest concern is to be on ' the right side of history' on the 'trans debate ' i.e. not making up their mind what is right and fighting for it, but just being on the winning side whatever that turns out to be - I don't include Badenoch in this criticism - she is talented and OK - most unrepresentative of most of the Tory Parliamentary Party

There are also far too many Tory backbenchers who are lawyers of one sort or another acting not in the national interest but in the legal professions interest
