Newmont have made it plain Hav/Telfer don’t suit the plans. And they look, over time, to more copper. They got tons of gold - looking to diversify and take advantage of copper alongside the gold. No sectret.

To conclude my sojourn here for the time being, I do hope it works out for pi’s. I think there’s prospects for that, longer term anyway.

As major shareholder, nothing going to happen without consulting with Wyloo, and I strongly suspect, to Wyloo satisfaction.

Whether or not the rumoured call is anything to do with it, Newmont have already made it plain there will be job cuts arising from its acquisition of Newcrest and disposals. It simply follows. Though one hopes employees will tupe, transfer to new owners.

I’ll just give you a little lesson on mates. They’re the ones who stand back to back and forced to share the grief and relief. You won’t find them here.
