Somewhat flies in the face of old Mr. Day getting Telfer for a dollar too, don’t it, somewhat.

I have seen Hydrogen replied to my query on Ggp the main forum about.

“BOFA have already openly revealed that Newmont will take a mix of cash and (GGP) paper for Telfer/Hav.”

Bank of America appear to have said,

“Telfer might be a mix of cash and equity”.

I thank him for responding, effectively on a possible dilutive exercise. I think, on Newmont’s objectives, cash is their preference.

Still, I’d welcome a source link for the ‘paper’ part of the ‘deal agreed’.

You can’t discount all rumours, but it doesn’t seem necessary for an ‘announcement’ to employees toreference the stock market. I don’t think there was a suggestion staff would be laid off.

The post was by no means to suggest Ggp is not a going concern, and cannot be funded. More background to the question posed earlier, where’s the money coming from, with loans to pay off, on the basis of the accounts Ggp is not financially well-positioned to embark on a spending spree. We shall have to see how he gets around that, if he has his professed way.

So against the background of proposed acquisitions and capex, and funding on their own 30% subject to FS criteria, it appears to me that on their own account, they’d very possibly scraping the barrel.

That takes the company to March 2025, and includes the Wyloo facility. That £26m facility is open to be drawn on to 1st December 2024, with principal drawn plus interest payable on 31st. December.

Any acquisition and additional capex funding will also need to be negotiated, presumably debt plus equity issue. That could be a lot of cash to be raised in comparison to Ggp’s market cap, from now into the fourth 24/first quarter 25. And, with decline yet to restart, FS to be published, has to sustain Ggp activities with no income until commercial production. And the Newcrest/Newmont loan is, I believe, outstanding.

It will be interesting.

Without a DFS it will come, I really cant see how without a DFS Ggp can hope to progress.
