Newmont are not under the same pressure as Ggp.

Without a DFS, Ggp will be 7nder pressure from’ outside’ prospective lenders, banks and so on.

I think it’s obvious Ggp likely to need cash. Not something, generally, in my experience, is a good position in which to be.

I accept and readily understand Ggp, Day, the board, whoever, have to speculate to accumulate, but Newmont aren’t daft, despite their own desire to be rid, for their own reasons.

I suspect a more moderate view might be in order, rather than anything earth shattering.

It’s not really the when, anyway, is it. You been talking yourself about taking on debt and dilution.

So you might agree, it’s the terms that will dictate sp reaction.

It’s the terms we don’t know, how they can agree with lenders, debt/equity, to go about it. Acquisitions, additional capex, or not, particularly if Mr. Day and the board are in accretion in due course on commercial accretion mode.

Then on the less enthusiastic side you got Cornford. Too early, he last said. Nobody gives him any credibility at all. Perhaps they’re right.
