I hope you are right DP but I am sceptical that this will make a significant difference - a knee jerk reaction perhaps but it is a long time until September and the workovers will add little to "the pot" even assuming they are successful; and just look at the last two.

London, I was asking myself the same question? I don't know but I suspect that they had some additional "headroom" from previous sanctioned allowances that remained unused. Headroom that is, likely as not, totally insufficient for a material Cap raise but allows them to put off spending existing cash reserves. If so, a sensible and justifiable ploy, particularly if it enables them to curry favour with future operational or funding "partners".

May also be something of an early "taster" for a possible future JV or funding partner?

Agreed PC, the "noise" from the naysayers is simply hyperbolic scaremongering, total and absolute bollax. 1.3m shares that would barely dilute my own holding let alone the Company's full issue.
