NT3 was renamed Chikumbi 1 because it was inappropriate to leave it as NT3, as NT3 was an Appraisal Well (an appraisal of the Cretaceous) and Chikumbi 1 was "exploring" as yet untested layers was considered an Exploration well....

Well those costs only become payable once the C1 spud date is announced and drill begun (May/June) and that won't be until after the Farm-Out; at which point AEX will receive $3 million and hopefully will have the sword of Damocles lifted by the TPDC and will begin to have their invoices paid.

It will be interesting to see what the BoD have to say on this and many other issues on Friday...

So BG, that would suggest that AEX have to carry 25% of the costs of C1 drill then? Hopefully, just those costs of drilling below the Cretaceous target and into the Jurassic? Otherwise there won't be any of that initial £3 million to go towards Nyuni and Kiliwani Seismics ?

And as I have said in the past BG I believe you are right but, it is Tanzania and until it happens there has to be a risk... and if not "if" then certainly "when". Would you have been saying in December 2017 that we would still not have the License Extension before 2019 started? Ha! No, of course you wouldn't. And KN1 remediation still not complete? No, of course you wouldn't. But here we are still waiting and with the sp at half what it was just over a year ago.

Unfortunately not without crystalising your gain outside of the ISA first...... When you "Bed" and ISA the "sale" of assets outside of the ISA still attracts "potential" CGT on the sale proceeds.

As regard Malcy and Malcy's statements? So what, looking at his performance for the last two years (Aminex included) most might be best advised to ignore, or even do the opposite of, whatever he has to say...Does being in his bucket list mean anything? Has he greater confidence in AEX than I do? Well I have several millions of shares in the company and he has none at all. So what value would you put in his "confidence" of a man that has absolutely no "skin in the game".... Words are very cheap, Tanzania. At least I have my mouth where my money is.

Moreover Tanzania my concern is as much about the methods and motivations of our so called partners the Zubairs and the TPDC as it is about my confidence in the BoD. Our future is as much reliant on their alignment and goodwill as it is about anything within the BoD's control; are they operating in the interests of AEX smaller shareholders?

But anyway I genuinely wish you and all Aminex holders a fantastic 2019 and hope that my scepticism is totally unfounded.

I doubt he will have a choice, it will be done for him when (and it will happen) he runs out of margin..... Actually, poor bugger, I wouldn't wish that on anyone; it has happened to me many a time in the past (though I have always been "long" not short) and it isn't nice.

Even IF that were true you forget to mention one very small point and that is that it is ALL contingent on getting a License Extension and a Farm-Out by 31st March otherwise we are all in deep doo-doo; would you put your kids' inheritance on it?

Drewky you still do not seem to recognise the difference between the two positions. For me and most others (including you I would suggest) AAOG is a punt over a drill and drill results (based on stated COS) and, as such past wage rises and BoD actions are not relevant to my investment there. My investment in AEX is for the long term (at least it is now) and the sp rise there depends not on the drill results but far more fundamental issues; indeed whether we actually get to the next drill intact. And why is that even an issue? Because of our parlous state, created and overseen by our BoD who despite this remarkable decline seem to think that they are pillars of the O&G industry and should be paid as such. Which I would not be objecting to if it wasn't for our current predicament. If we get to the EGM and they tell us that because of our current cash strapped position the BoD have not drawn any wages because the cupboard is bare I will willingly accept the situation and applaud them. We will see. You may remember that at the AGM they stated that there would be a "performance related pay scheme" implemented before the year's end (31st December) - I wonder if they will have been true to their word? I guess we will find out on Friday :0)

And I wouldn't argue that Drewky. But a new investor to AEX or AAOG would have to ask how those wages would be covered going forward and for how long..... and in that regard both look similarly placed. The difference being that AAOG are in the process of drilling a well and AEX are months away from that and that even presupposes that they will get a license extension before March 31st. If not will they ever get to drill C1?

The difference between one and the other I have explained quite clearly Drewky. The pay rise over there occurred long before i became a shareholder and had I got an issue with it I had the choice not to invest there. That was not a choice I had in AEXand, moreover my investment in AAOG is very recent and a small percentage of my holding in AEX. The decline e in A÷X fortunes has occurred whilst I have been a shareholder and has adversely affected all of us as a consequence. The lack of income and dramatic increase in salaries has contributed to that demise.... whatever the BOD did at AAOG in the past did NOT affect my investment, adversely or otherwise. That is a major difference and anyone with a modicum of common sense or was remotely open minded would see and accept that.

Yet again you seem to highlight your total lack of understanding of other people's viewpoint; the difference is that the AAOG BoD had already increased their salaries before and the issues that you quote were already behind them before I chose to invest in them and therefore I knew the situation in advance. But of course you cannot see the difference, Why? Either because yo chose to ignore that fact or that you are too dim to see the difference. Had I not been happy to accept that situation I would NOT have invested there. Moreover since then the AAOG BoD have largely delivered on their schedules and stated expectations and the drilling issues that they suffered there were rapidly corrected. Since when they have been seen to over deliver. The same cannot be said for the AEX BoD who have managed to oversee the near disaster of NT2 drill and failure of our only income earning asset despite telling us for nearly two years that they were about to complete remediation; consequently we have been receiving little to no income at the same time as they have chosen to dramatically increase our fixed costs by (among other things) more than doubling the wage bill over that same period.... But again Drewky you cannot or will not accept the difference.

So Drewky it is about time you got off your high horse, you say "double standards and behaviour shown here by some have certainly opened my eyes...." You would not know double standards if they hit you in the face. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. Besides which it would not matter of your eyes were open or not Drewky they only see what you want them to see anyway.
