But Peakybrum that is exactly the point and our problem; we do NOT have a reservoir, not in the traditional meaning of the term. It is not a static amount of gas trapped, under pressure, underneath an impervious layer - we have gas migrating into the fractured basement, it is not static and so cannot be measured and quantified in the normal manner. This is what the BoD were referring to when talking about the new basin modelling. What exactly have they got? How does the gas move, what causes it to move, how long will it last, will the flows be consistent, etc? The "normal" volumetric measurements and considerations do not apply here; a new paradigm is required that can give a "quantum" and value to our find. Who and how can an independent third party provide a CPR to our find when the normal parametres for measuring such a reserve cannot be applied.
See Blubay's posts from earlier in the week when this very issue was discussed by a few of us.
