Well certainly in Asian countries they seem mandatory and they think us mad for not having them on at all times... I think it is a case of not all masks are equal so obviously there will be ones more effective than others and they need to be correctly fitted like you say I think a lot of the no need for a mask story was got out so as the supplies for frontline staff did not get sucked up straight away by the loo roll hoarders....I think whatever makes you feel more protected is worth using and if you can get the best get it, good constant hygiene and avoiding the virus as best you can is the only advice I can offer it is what I'm trying to do but I have to work in a place where even 1 meter of distancing is hard at times...

A study done in Germany is showing some potential hope that the overall fatality rate of covid19 is possibly as low as 0.3 % not the frightening fatality percentages we are currently witnessing... many people could have had this virus without ever knowing anyways here is a vid giving a good explanation of this new study:

They hope to do trials in both US and Europe ... could well get the rule changes they need to get it fast-tracking... Obviously, if they do not prove it works its not going anywhere and mRNA approach is as far as I know still very novel and not proven but the if it does show efficacy the exciting thing is that they have the ability to manufacture it at massive dosages and fast... So the most vulnerable could be given immunity ASAP.... All a case of watching and waiting but plenty of brilliant brains working on this

Yeah, they are shifting on it fast... Pfizer doing most of the financing and BioNTech could really come out of this looking more like a big pharma themselves... Interesting that they will test 'multiple' vaccine candidates

lol yeah, I think scancell must be as frustrating to them as us though of course, they did get a reward when they sold some at the highs of however million years ago it was ... A great VCT to have closely involved though if were not for them and now, of course, the Diggles and their Vulpes things would be much more dire.... The thing that should come out of the current situation is that biotech and British biotech is some of the very best in the world and how valuable that really is...where is our BioNTech? why are other nations valuing and investing in their science more than us ... there won't be a political solution to pandemics or any other health issues such as scancells focus cancer those solutions begin in labs but will not get anywhere without the political backing and support.

It is worth viewing that John Glencross interview I have a lot of time for him and his thinking... For us,here I suppose one thing he says that possibly could be of use is calculus are quite cash-rich at the moment and are willing to help support their portfolio companies through this crisis if needed.....
As for any active role for scancell in covid 19 solutions ... well we all know the race is on for vaccines however in the meantime focus is about effective treatments for those in most need... TBF I thought we would have had an RNS by now as surely COVID 19 if nothing else has affected trial recruitment for SCIB1 combo not that much was happening there anyways but surely now even less will happening with US plans on hold? and maybe is impacting modi1 plans, also, we do not know if team science all still at work in fully functioning labs?... Till we know we are in the dark.... As you say biotech should be better valued now and scancell ought to be a part of that.

We know BioNTech is somewhat distracted at the moment with Sahin himself seemingly working non stop on a covid 19 vaccine... not sure if that would impact a conclusion to our collaboration but I suppose it could do, however so long as scancell pull off what they set out to do and all the indications last time we heard were they were getting there then we should get something positive from the TCR route.

Surely the Covid 19 pandemic crisis has impacted scancell... trials on ice for one... with social distancing etc... will the labs be able to operate safely to Gov guidelines?.... We know it has impacted on Lindy's conference attendance diary but what else? Is there a plan!? Are all our collaborations still ongoing or been interupted?.... And yes - funding we are going to be needing it before there is an end to Covid 19
