Yes it would be interesting to know what happened or did not happen there.... are they now 2 of the collaborators for instance... we will probably never find out but I think getting deals on MaBs might just be something JC and CH are efficient at as is their area from their previous experience

They also could not afford to protect the IP which scancell is doing... basically, they are all family anyways the young lady who was most involved in their development is now also a full-time scancell employee... strengthening of scancell team science

'Dr. McArdle is also working on a HAGE- and mutated NY-ESO1-derived peptide sequences for the treatment of Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). HAGE antigen has previously been shown to be a prognostic marker for breast cancer patients and a predictor of response to adjuvant chemotherapy (Abdel-Fatah, et al. 2014). In collaboration with Dr. Abdel-Fatah, HAGE was shown to be expressed in 47% of TNBC (Abdel-Fatah, et al. 2016). Dr. McArdle has recently set up a new collaboration with Dr. Sara Mangsbo at Upsala University (Sweden) where immune complexes will be used to deliver and stimulate strong immune responses against HAGE and NY-ESO1 sequences.'

Dr. McArdle has identified a mutated Prostatic Acid Phosphatase, PAP, derived sequence, which, when injected with CAF09, a strong adjuvant (kind gift from Dr. Dennis Christensen, Serum Institute, Denmark), is capable of generating T-cells that produce high level of IFNg against vaccine-derived wild-type peptides using ex-vivo ELISPOT assay. This sequence has now been granted patent in Europe and in the US. Preclinical works are ongoing to gather the necessary data for a phase-0/I clinical trial for the treatment of hormone resistant prostate cancer.

There is also the PAP vaccine targeting prostrate and work has been done on HAGE too I think the PAP one is heading towards the clinic however not sure if ImmunoBody will be finally used but certainly, it could be ...

Again I would think the work done with CRUK in choosing nano delivery makes it easier to get ImmunoBodies into trial:

The forthcoming CRUK-funded Phase I/II study will employ this via a standard injection, rather than using electroporation. Yes I think a lot of work has quietly been going on with this vaccine it would be great to see it get into the clinic

Continued missing of timelines and often by years! = An erosion of trust..... However we know it is not a case of them stating something and then doing nothing lots and lots of work has been and is being done for instance it turned out making a clinically viable modi1 was a lot more challenging than first envisioned but I expect them to overcome that challenge as they are a scientifically capable outfit.... Communication (to us) could be loads better,Cliff is not as natural a presenter as RG was however compared to what he was like on first arrival he has indeed improved and to my mind is alright though he has made some pretty poor mistakes for a guy on over 200k ( saying BioNTech collab would end in June 2019 when he should have known of the 6 months delay!)... It is more how he performs in meetings with pharma that matters most to me...He comes from a MaBs background and I'm impressed with what is happening there at scancell the creation of a 'package' and getting it out to those that matter and then getting them to collaborate in a pretty good timescale I'd say and yes I do think 'transactions later this year' is a realistic outcome of that..... but we will see... As ever so much potential newsflow... SCIB1,SCIB2,modi1,modi2 and Glycans/Avidimab plus who knows what else means news of a very positive kind can appear anytime .... If I knew what I know now would I have invested here 8 years ago..No of course not! lol but that does not mean scancell is a share to write off on the contrary it would be now I'd be getting my holding if only I knew .... and yeah we could still be waiting for something to happen in another 8 years time too :)

Timelines are indeed the frustration felt by all LTHs here however not making excuses but SCIB2 delays surely have been as far as we know mostly due to the finalising nano delivery which was done May 2019...
