One of the young stars of team scancell science has moved on ...J Chua who has played such a big part in the glycan MaBs development has in the last month taken a scientist job at PetMedix a development stage veterinary biopharmaceutical company based in Cambridge....Wishing her success in her career move and as one of Lindy's proteges who has surely added to scancells overall IP a big thanks.

I think in a world of bleach as an injectable treatment it is time for team scancell twitter to get ultra-active .... as now is the time to push a potential real scientific answer as hard as possible as though I take Cheste'sr point I think TF may be right scancell have announced they are ready to get a scientifically viable solution it out there but no one is listening and everyone is preoccupied with their own prejudiced solutions... It could well be it's just Cliff in his working from home living room office on the blower trying to get in touch with Bill Gates......Oh well the UK space race and all that :)

I agree but I also doubt any big player has come swooping in as they have with BioNTech to buy up all the IP for Billions ... that problem needs to be overcome because I like you do not think scancell team science is lesser to any other in the immune sphere and quite possibly has the most compelling answers than any others..... We need those with the real big clout to back Lindy as we have ... this has to be that time the time she gets the attention she has deserved for years but failed to get in a commercial way...

Well, this is what we are watching for now :) better position than pre-Friday at least!.... Huge money is going to be available for anything that looks like it has a real potential yeah scancell are not ahead but possibly have something that can offer a more effective vaccine solution and one that has real-world and results pedigree due to SCIB1 results ....Will people see beyond Lindy not coming from Oxbridge and not being a man and her science being novel ... if ever there was a moment in time!...Sounds like Evans is willing to put more of his cash into it but he is already a fan :) ...

Yeah I guess to boil it down the sp could perform well and possibly very well in the near term due to the potential of attracting funding and partners and how much and who they may be already Fridays RNS had an effect will that last? only if scancell do indeed have something attractive, what I'd say is every potential will be being looked at by multiple players a successful CV19 vaccine at this moment in time must be the most sought after thing in the entire world the value? well what is a normal life and world economy worth? .... yes it's a punt what you have to weigh up is is it worth it at 8p?

I would think scancell feature in BNTX plans as much as the TCR collab has been successful and how much they value that part of their very broad platform at the moment their main focus is going to be CV19 vaccine, however, I doubt that will be to the neglect of all of their other programs they are big company with a strong team science .... I am sure if scancell have achieved what they set out to do with the TCRs BioNTech will conclude a deal... And if they do not and scancell has still achieved what they set out to then scancell would be well ahead in TCR and be able to offer all TCR players partnership deals... So I'm not too worried about it myself of course always great to get confirmation off the company where we are with it.

It says that the collaboration with them is TCR only :) and at this stage still only a research one

How many UK based vaccine programs for CV19 do we have at this moment? Is it just the Oxford one so far?

Of course lots of interest in the testing field as it will be vital to any coming out of lockdown and keeping the virus as contained as possible ....With everything surrounding this virus and the pandemic it has caused things are still being learnt and It seems this virus is able not just to infect the respiratory tract but also can enter other organs and lay undetectable this may well be a cause of people going from recovering to being tested positive again its not a case of them being reinfected just that the infection never fully went away.... So many challenges ahead and like I say only really good solid provable science is going to offer up a way forwards back to any form of what we have come to know as normality.... I'm backing Lindy she is an overlooked national asset IMHO and hopefully, she will gain the backing and recognition she deserves.

And we all know it will only take that first one and this place is going to go into lift off.... 8p a good punt I'd say :) ... At least now scancells hat is in the ring as it were... which up until Friday for us it was not... I reckon all hats in the ring will get attention because even though there may be over 100 of them now they are after the most valuable thing in the world right now a successful vaccine against CV19 .... The whole world economy needs it

TF, of course, no guarantees of anything coming and scancells history is one of failing to nail commercial partnerships... however this is a little different I'm sure many many more doors are open now plus the team is bigger than just scancell a lot of other respected parties are involved and all will be actively working towards gaining funding so hopefully it is not all down to Cliff from his living room on the blower :) ... The sudden interest in players wanting to take out BioNTech just as its hit a massive $10 billion-plus mcap shows us big players are not wanting to miss out on and that biotech in general may well be better valued now.... science and good science is the only thing that is getting us out of this crisis ......Anyways guess we will see if anyone is interested in the scancell way and hopefully soon!

That is interesting though not surprising I wonder how much the interested parties would have been willing to splash out on buying out BioNTech I'm guessing Pfizer themselves may have shown such an interest...and I would have thought not less than a whopping $15 billion ....I would have thought BioNTech might have pulled off that market cash-raising they had to previously withdraw by now seeing as how strong a position they now find themselves in....
