I'm excited by the prospect of our very new look ImmunoBody platform.... AvidiMab and a novel transformational delivery ... We know melanoma is not the only cancer target where scancell have been active on with ImmunoBody using such human cloned antigens... there is the prospect of some very exciting ImmunoBodies appearing rather soon especially if Covidity proves up the new-look platform...

up to 8 vaccines though several of them UK made and one seemingly a 'universal' one... you got to think Covidity is in with a chance however means the ph1 has to be very soon no? for it be available by Autumn?...... certainly the radio silence and RG on a tweeting holiday I have taken to be meaning lots is going on behind the scenes ...interesting April ahead?.... risings eggs... project fear in full flow :)

I don't think there is anything to be ashamed about being here to make a few quids or more!... And what is wrong with getting engrossed in the journey which is now quite a saga?... yes always be aware of the risk factors but anyone getting into a baby bio really should have that stomach already your usual stuff only invest what you can afford to lose not that losing it would not be painful but also know how big the rewards could be... lifechanging!.... certainly I'm enjoying this part of the story than other previous parts lol... but we are still to get to the real page-turners

It looks like we are entering a whole new era where vaccines are going to play a vital part so I reckon ImmunoBody/AvidiMab Notts nano pep delivery is going to get its chance and on proving itself highly effective( the data will come) plus the other factors of cost ease of administration storage and short timeline manufacture it is certainly a good looking candidate....Do CEPI agree and at what point do they get involved still to be answered ... but for now the planets are aligned ...

Again it will be interesting to see will the team put forwards a proposal for CEPIs coming call ... a vaccine that can broadly cover all coronaviruses.... the end of the common cold... not to be sniffed at that :)...although it does raise some questions to my mind as we will then be entering a time when we basically are micromanaging our immune systems.... good? bad? hmmm ...

Also seems the proposal for an 'all in one vaccine' that is coming any time soon will be a $200 million funded one.

CEPI will get involved maybe not pre ph1 though I certainly do not discount that on a 'successful ph1 I have no doubts they would want to be fast-tracking covidity into further trials and on success there to vaccinate the world with it... as well that is what they are working towards already with their ever-expanding portfolio...
Of course, there will be other interested parties as well.....
We will soon hear about CEPI's universal Covid vaccines to tackle any future covid epidemics call with big money attached... will the Notts team apply? will they put Covidity forwards ? or to my mind, if they do it will probably be a Covidity v2 with Lindy now no doubts a covid virus expert :) and again that does not mean CEPI will not be closely following Coviditys progress I think with the Notts Uni backing and the multiple experts and lab resources they have a very strong case for support..... in the end as ever it will all come down to data but that is a coming.... risk, yeah but Lindy and the team has strong form and the potential rewards? well... massive absolutely massive ....

The HKU vaccine has several potential advantages which make it a suitable candidate for such CEPI investment. In addition, it should be possible to scale production of this vaccine candidate to hundreds of millions of doses. We will be living with CV19 and having to deal with its variants for a long time however it will be overcome and pivotal to that is going to be effective vaccines and as much of the world as possible getting those vaccines... but certainly it is now the era of the vaccine... and their makers :) and because of the variants, Covidity is certainly going to have its chance to shine and if it indeed does to then become a part of the vaccine solution..... And we get our few quid :)

So what I like to think is moditope is working with nature and not against it (always a good thing to my mind)... an almighty boost to an immune response we all have but that is suppressed or becomes exhausted once cancer takes hold but once boosted... kapow! It reawakens and then some ... possibly some evidence of this is coming from the continuum research I don't know but it would add to the moditope is a valid way forwards ... patent landgrab and all :)

Of interest ...Lindy is very blunt till it goes in the human trial we really do not know what will happen but can maybe surmise from all the pre-clinical work...

Anyways from the moditope webinar Q&A:

Q. 'If the epitope repertoire i.e CD4 and MHC expression exist in cancer patients, why is this not stimulating a tumour restricting immune response naturally? How would vaccination change this?

A(Lindy) 'We do have some evidence to suggest that some of these responses are indeed memory responses and the argument would be that it is to do with the tumour immunosuppressive environment or indeed exhaustion of those cells that can no longer be effective but what we have shown is if we can then go in with the vaccine, the vaccine basically generates a very large number of very active CD4 t cells and they can overcome that hurdle'

Q. 'Are the citrullinated peptides from different humans similar? In other words, how do you hope to have something that will work? a single vaccine against many different cancers is the basic question...'

A. ' It seems to be that there are dominant epitopes or dominant areas that are citrullinated and clearly that then depends upon their ability to be HLA bowed or restricted so far though the vimentin epitopes that we have looked at and the enolase epitopes seem to be expressed by all the mouse tumours so to a certain extent they do seem to be fairly ubiquitously expressed, a little bit more difficult to tell with the human cancers because clearly, they don't express MHC two unless you induce it and you have to induce it under stressed conditions so at this point we will have to see with the clinical trials how ubiquitously they are expressed.'

Another worthy part from Lindy about the potential toxicity of the CD4 killers going rogue as it were...

'I do believe this is a stress response so I think it is a response to a combination of stress and inflammation so these responses could well be triggered during an infection procedure where your stressing cells and you are up-regulating MHC class two there could be other situations where you get stress but not inflammation and that would not be an issue but as long as you get stress and inflammation potentially they could be recognised and that is their normal function so far we have not seen any toxicity in animals so we have done large numbers of studies even these animals regressed their tumour and we restimulated and they regressed again don't show any side effects,I admit these are in animal models 'relevant animal models'.
