LL yes quite but what you are looking at there is expected clinical news timelines.... which of course is fair enough you can indeed go off those but I'm being more speculative in that scancell are also in many talks around many pieces of their platform... most notably of course at the moment being Covidity... and it is little possibilities like these that mean we could hear something exciting before any clinical progress...

We’re kind of poised between trying to think about how we can end the Covid pandemic, but also beginning to look at the institutions and things that we have set up and thinking about how we can carry those forward and the opportunities for pandemic preparedness in the period after.

Initially we were thinking about the next-generation vaccines as just offering attributes that you would want in vaccines for managing Covid for the long term. So, you know, low cost. Ideally in a single dose. Ease of administration might be factors. More thermal-stable products. But I think the introduction of the variants also forces us to think about multivalent vaccines [meaning they would protect against several strains of the virus] or vaccines that can be easily turned from one strain to another if we get into that kind of a dynamic.'

Of course, exciting news could come at any time not just from Covidity but yes that is the most likely cuz well pandemic...

Cliff may have sounded like nothing much on funding /partnering will come till ph1 although he did say 'sooner than later' in his Vox presentation but I think it is obvious talks are ongoing with many interested parties,CEPI for possible instance... but not just them... and scancell and the notts team have to forge ahead to ph1 no matter what but a move in can come at any time.... if it is CEPI for instance that could impact where the trial is ran etc.... we will see :)

And the same thinking is to be found in viral vaccines too you may need combinations each producing different immune responses possibly to different targets and combined have an overwhelming effect .. that Lindy is the master of T cells is our strong hand in the game

The truth is with cancer it will probably come down to lots of combination therapies... if you can overwhelm cancer from all sides you can pretty much cure it.... otherwise you can keep on top of and suppress it enough to mean it is never fatal...

BTW the welcome trust has in the past given Lindy a pathfinder grant award for the Glycan Mabs development.

Ray covidity is certainly on their radar and all that could entail... will all depend on who else is taking a keen interest nothing like healthy competition although in theory, everyone should be working together for the greater good init EU :)

It will be a simple non-toxic peptide delivery system to be at least as effective as electroporation if not more so... and thing is Lindy has gotten involved in the development of this area now :)

Anyways it could be a 'game changer' and not just for ImmunoBody.... so 3 novel potential game changing techs all going in to make a whole new next-gen potential 'universal vaccine' .... all very exciting but most pharmas are probably like what... no no we need mRNA that is the way now duh...

It would have been very nice to have known who and what tech scancell chose for CRUK to license for SCIB2 ..... hmm anyways what is great is that such tech and it being Notts developed exists also right at this vital time!.....if it proves itself and does indeed come in house it itself would become another bowstring with massive commercial potential... the science powerhouse :)

The new delivery of Covivdity is of course of great interest to us all... it is also highly novel!... makes the ImmunoBody platform with Avidimab thrown a whole new exciting prospect... Dr Dixon being key to the tech... I've felt if pharma turn up or indeed when they would on great ph1 data.... this delivery would come in house and probably Dixon too.. however it seems he may well have licensed out it or some part of his patented work already to Locate Bio....

Again not a bad place to be developing a next gen potential 'universal vaccine' ...... Surely news is coming but whennnn asks AIM whennn :)

Our Gov is on the ball as far as trying to keep vaccines up to date when new variants appear and need to be vaccinated against.. this mostly quite correctly involves rapidly updating current shown to be effective already approved and in use vaccines so your Oxford and BioNTech ones etc... however the Gov have not overlooked the under development vaccines such as scancells and also they are looking to the future and protection against coming Covid pandemics... Not a bad place for a new potential 'universal vaccine' to be developed I reckon... but please please please let this program escape the curse of the scancell timeline!!!!
