'A new consensus is emerging among scientists, according to Reuters interviews with 18 specialists who closely track the pandemic or are working to curb its impact. Many described how the breakthrough late last year of two vaccines with around 95% efficacy against COVID-19 had initially sparked hope that the virus could be largely contained, similar to the way measles has been.

But, they say, data in recent weeks on new variants from South Africa and Brazil has undercut that optimism.'

There is a need for a covidity

We certainly have. and many of them have come in coats of many colours.. and I do not want to be forever working 9 to 5 I'd rather spend my time on an island in the stream :)

Anyways Lindy never sleep scancell are a science powerhouse and again do not be surprised to see the Notts peptide delivery come in house and that itself has big potential beyond ImmunoBody ...optogenetics for instance

What you could do with there is... a universal vaccine... just saying...obviously has to be trialled and proven but yeah that is what you need.

Yeah definitely puts covidity and scancell in a good position again it may well be nothing will happen till ph1 and with hat showing success but the pressure must be quite large on potential partners if there are a few of them... especially seeing the success of first gens and all the support from now the ever-increasing amount of governments to get vaccines...anyways it will all play out and I'm very much strapped in :)

With that I'd say.... we are in with a good chance of further GOV support whether that is after a ph1 or not.... who knows but this has to also be good for potential Covidity partners no?.... a supportive Gov and system in place

rats all the data is looking really good and that is down to successful vaccination so vaccines are they way which is great for scancell but as you say they can't then get complacent due to variants arising so you would think now vaccines are proving to be the great success story they would back next gens as insurance and as I think you said surely the UK could look at Covidity as a potential export asset .. look at how all of a sudden Europeans are begrudgingly accepting the Astra vaccine... well yeah a and what if we have the next gen universal answer too ! stick that...

There can be all sorts of possibilities to do with moditope... modi3 for resected patients is still intriguing...
A wild speculation from me is could something be coming from Lindy's work with continuum?

possibly an ability to identify 'moditope' T cell receptors (TCRs) from cancer surviours blood and all that may entail.. BioNTech collab and indeed others as scancells ability in that field now seems quite advanced

pure speculation though we know something 'exciting' from that research is coming....
