Professor Gasbag...you are ahead of yourself. Pheasant murdering commences tomorrow! I'm on the high downs now & can assure you tomorrow will be like November 5th. Heck I live right next to a sheep farm with a pheasant shoot so I am expecting it to be noisy tomorrow! I can't say I approve but neither do I disaprove - I just would not want to participate. My son shoots all around Britain; pheasant & grouse...costs him a kings ransom. He shoots doves in the Argentine & wild boar in Hungary. He even wants to hang out of a helicopter in Texas shooting hog! He earns a fortune & spends it...good luck to him! He did gift me my VW Golf GTI that I have since had the plates changed to: P90 SOU...with the legend: 'Sound Energy - Super Gas'

Watching that documentary on the Southdowns - when they showed the Western Weald & in particular Black Down Heath (the highest area in all Sussex) reminded me of the second time I had lunch with our CEO. We met in a charming pub on the slopes of Blackdown Hill. We discussed Nervesa & how he was going to build Sound Oil up from the wreckage that it was, post'Merry Ordeal'! Those are the days when I fealt here is a man with dynamism & ideas who can rebuild this company...so it turned out! Since those heady days we have had success tinged with failure. But I still believe we can make a success, albeit qualified on what price folk bought in at. I have a relative who bought at 86p but she never reminds me when we meet. We will sell according to NAV...whatever that is! But the poster Exploration sees a NAV of 40-60p (approx) on the Horst area alone...so who knows if that is about right what we may still get for the rest of the license & possibly future payments upon success! I may even have talked myself into buying more shares - I have some cash I need to park somewhere. I was going to hold fire but who knows...certainly not me.....?

PS, I will leave the serious posting & entertainment to you! I've done my share over the years & now consider myself a semi-retired poster. Thanks for filtering me though...I'm sure I am very honoured to be in your bin..............

Mr B - thanks for flagging up that program. I have just finished watching it & I have to say I cried! Narrated lovingly by the maverick & charismatic Priest of Firle, Peter Owen-Jones, it brilliantly showed why the South Downs are so iconic, beautiful & naturally important as a farmed habitat for all kinds of rare & popular species of plant & fauna. Owen Jones has made a few such programs & his love for the Downs always shines through. I count myself very lucky indeed to live in the heart of the National Park with views of a sheep farm & classified ancient woodland!

Kas, I guess anyone interested needs to know the bottom line: what is the failure rate of that technology? How much does a dry well cost? What are the standout sucesses of the technology? Apologies if I have missed all this but an independent source would be good for a reference. Is there any scientific body supporting what Scoforth are claiming? I might duck as you sling a whole load more links at me...quack quack!

Meanwhile, who saw that Almodavar movie starring Antonio Banderas & Penny Cruz called 'Pain & Glory'...I loved every second of it! What a marvelous biopic & highly recommended!

Exploration...I tried to pursue the lack of a CPR & the need for it but was assured that the costs outweighed the benefits! What you are saying is a CPR would have been counter beneficial! If I believed that I would have sold months ago...

Jez, I dont believe it will come to that. There is a deal to be done. JP said (to me & I loosely paraphrase) that 'there will be investors who have got in at diferent levels but we will be selling on a NAV basis'...what that NAV constitutes is anyones guess! If one can work out what the seismic, ariel survey & prospect portfolio is worth please enlighten us!

STZ, I never said I thought we were 'going long' or drilling on - only that IF we did I may have funds to add if I thought we had a credible plan. I still believe & hope this will be resolved with some kind of sale.

The way I look at it is this: I want my money back, preferably with a profit that covers 10 years and more. I'm happy with my shareholding and if we get a fairish deal I can at least continue my reasonably comfortable lifestyle in a location I love. I would like to buy more shares but if plan b happens & we do 'carry on drilling'...then I will be able to buy more shares when the dust settles after what you would assume would be a considerable dilutive fund raise. Why would I buy more shares: because l, hopefully unlike the I'll feted ex Chancellor Norman Lamont, would want to prop-up & support my investment. I dont want to see the value of my shares plummet like the pound when the UK tried to remain in the ERM, even though the odds were firmly staked against - because of a strong D Mark! I would want to back us to win & not be deflated, devalued & diluted away without a fight! I'm here until the end, whatever that may be....but come what may I want to be prepared with enough cash to take full advantage, if we are to resume a further drilling campaign.

BTW, let's hope 'Scroedinger's Cat' hasn't got a cat flap!!

Jones, are you a complete idiot? I never said I was drawing down on my SIPP & to this day I have not taken one penny out of my SIPP - I am NOT in 'drawdown'!! What I did was transfer a dead pension into my SIPP. The offer I received from the pension company was too good, in relation to the meager sum it would have paid annually, to turn down! I honestly beleive if you know nothing about pensions you should not comment, misquote & mislead others on this forum.

Mebo, you are spot on & I sincerely hope you are able to make that dent in your mortgage from the 'LE' proceeds. Hope you are well old friend & not too stressed out in the 'big smoke'!

Pontcanna, I'm still very much here with all my holding intact & looking to add more around the sub 8p mark if & when that happens. I'm not posting much because I am enjoying the weather & whilst off work reading & speed watching TV series, such as 'The Vietnam War' (10 episodes & utterly brilliant - I grew up watching all those news reports), 'The Loudest Voice' (which is about legendary founder of Fox News, Roger Ailes, brilliantly played by Rusell Crowe - highly recommended by me)...& a few other programs I have enjoyed beside!

Simon, the only 'shorts'ive got on are the ones I am currently wearing! I dont believe we will drill TE11 so am not concerned about -the potential of 'shorting' - but who knows! I am on record as stating I will be here to the end & as far as I am concerned the end is a deal that satisfies all shareholders:. A sham deal where we continue drilling but have to raise money through share dilution would be worse than Theresa's appalling deal that she never even consulted Parliament on when she put ink to paper! Luckily for us, we will get a vote on any forthcoming deals & nothing is rubber stamped without our approval! We all have a shareholder vote & like General Elections, we should make sure we use it!

We're all in 'too deep' & we dont like the view...we dont like the view....in too deep yeah, cant touch the bottom, cant touch the bottom.......

Anyway, I'm lazing on a sunny afternoon & the Taxman hasn't yet taken all I've got - so cheers to the eventual 'Liquidity Event'!
