Jez, theres no pleasing some it seems! Company staffers are dambed if they do & damned if they don't try to respond to shareholders & disseminate what information they legally can. I welcome the recent email replies from Brian - it seems he understands shareholder concerns & was simply trying to shine a little light on the current news blackout.

Gasbag, I hope you & Mrs Gasbag are in good physical health? I suspect most here are suffering mental health issues, me included! I feel collectively we are like Hilts (the Cooler King) in the 'Great Escape'! We have been incarcerated in the 'cooler' with no contact with the world of Sound...just banging our balls against the wall in frustration until the goons put us out of our misery....or we escape in Jame's 'LE' tunnel...just hope it doesn't collapse on us!!

Shaun, you love it but you are in denial! It is safer than watching 'Love Island' or Jeremy Kyle! Unless of course you have considered Beachy Head recently...lovely stretch of downland but littered with crosses marking the demise of folk who had had enough & leapt off this sceptred isle to their doom. Jez, who wants to talk about Sound when there is no news but glorious weather instead to occupy us! We knew they would be in lockdown when the 'for sale' sign went up. I know James no longer reads the boards but Sarah is eagle eyed & on her laptop continuously monitoring what is said...so keep it clean guys: I know you always do Jez.

Shed, thankfully the ragwort hasn't seeded in my lawn but their weeds have. One of my favourite chors is mowing my once beautiful lawn...I will just have to appeal to common decency and if that doesn't work, torch their weedy field whilst they are not looking!! The rest of the local downland is beautiful.....

Jez, "ridiculously pleasant views of the Downs"...lol! That's usually very true but one of the farm fields that abuts me has a bad weed & ragwort problem & the weed spores have infiltrated my lawn! It used to be sheep grazing but the owner divorced & now his ex wife owns the fields next to me & obviously is clueless as to how to keep them. What really anoys me is she has a horse stud with huge menage & could well do with the turnout the field could provide. I'm now having to consider getting Green Thumb to kill & re-seed my lawn - all at my own cost! Apart from that I'm just lazing on a sunny afternoon on the roof terrace - sans butler of course as I don't currently employ one, contrary to what gaspunter says...lol!

All the talk about partridges earlier - I sometimes ger Red Leg Frenchies in my garden. They suddenly appear out of the shrubbery & have been known to frighten the bejesus out of me! But they are beautiful birds...

trellis, as you often point out, we don't agree about much but I do sincerely wish you a very happy retirement in Espanya. Personally, I could never countanance leaving Britain, let alone beautiful Sussex ...because my heart & soul was born in the chalk hills of the South Downs & leaving would rip my very 'being' for existance out of me! Good luck & stay in touch.

Jez, as 'Head of Possitivity' at Chuckle I am a bit concerned that you, as CEO, are losing your sense of humour! If I'm the puppy that perpetually wags his tail you must be the dog with the friendly bark...woof woof! Don't let the silence of our master get to you. Yes, he's left us alone without any doggy treats or even a bowl of water but hell be back with chewy slippers, dog bones & plenty of 'chum'! When he throws that stick in the park well both come running & panting like the lap dogs we are .............lol!

Scarf, why not...the Government & Parliament are about to go on holiday, even though they know Brexit is looming on 'Hop-tu-Nae'...no reason why our Sound staff should not take their holidays, even though it seems the worst time. In any case I believe James is out of the country at present so who knows if it is holidays or business: I believe the latter & as always, hope for the best. I still very much believe in a possitive outcome. Despite what dear Mickey said, I wont be going down on the prow of any ship any time soon.............this isn't the Titanic or the 'Kursk': all who sail in her will survive - mostly intact, hopefully.

My condolences Jez - but what a great innings! My father just turned 90 & seems to be going strong.

Just finished watching the Chanel 4 series 'Catch 22', from the Joseph Heller classic of the same name...it did the book proud (I read it 25 years ago) & one of the best things I have ever seen on TV! Highly recommended!!

Soundingoff, I agree - no complaints about the way Sound Energy entertain their private investors. They have always been accessible & as you say, they always put on a good spread! Whether that is money well spent is a moot point but I & many other investors have enjoyed the 'largesse' over the years...............

Cheers trellis. Roberstbridge is a lovely part of Sussex but the other side of the county to me. You are right, Susex (East & West) is beautiful! Funny enough I am not a beer drinker so I probably won't be sampling much later this arvo. Its wine or lager for me these days but I don't know my wines like you do...definitely no connasaur! Jacob's Creek Pino or a prosecco is about my limit but I did used to drink a lot of Champagne back in the day... my wife had an expensive taste for it. Pol Roger, Bollinger, Dom Perigno 82 was a favourite for a few bottles I remember! Anyway must dash to Lewes!

trellis, I will be thinking of you this afternoon when I will be in Lewes (East Sussex) visiting the famous 'Harveys Brewery' for a tour! Not sure though if you are into beer - can't picture you with sandals, beard & a CAMRA Tshirt!! Don't think you would be on 'would be number 5' if you were....lol!
