If you look back a year they already held close to 53m shares in treasury. The theoretical cancellation of that amount of shares should have a 29.6p effect on the SP. Although, as it’s projected it should already be reflected.

See there’s a few updates from analysts:

BofA cut to £4.20

MS lifted to €4.35 (£3.66)

GS lifted to £3.50.

At least they are all northern of the current SP

IAG, Amazon & NVIDIA all hit near term lows on the 7th of April thanks to Trumps movements!

NVIDIA hit $86.62, Amazon, $161.38 & IAG £2.10.

Including pre market rises in the US today, the gains since then are

Amazon: 29.28%, NVIDIA: 41.3% & IAG: 48.76%.

Just interested where the information is apparently coming from.That’s not what my research indicates. In fact, it’s the other way round. Until 2027 anyway….

Totally agree acquisition wise. I’d just they’d rather not go down the route of a bidding war, and look at alternatives wherever possible. It looks as though an offer would have to be well in excess of the value….

That’s my assumption too. As it was earlier in the year and reported in the FT Friday. Sure it’ll blow over. I’d rather NatWest don’t pay over the odds, looking like they’ve walked away?

Overall, they look good to me. Just need to keep an eye on those (increasing) costs. Offset at the moment though. Total revenue higher than top end forecasts I think, which I read as 6.82-6.92B ? Hope the markets like it….

Hold Rio, to cheap to sell. (My average is £44.15, with the dividend.) Think the projected EPS moving forward don’t look to great though. I’ll add if it drops further but not until and just bide my time with it. Possible dividend cuts moving forward?

Sold LGen (day before ex div) and bought PHNX and MNG myself. Did buy these the week beginning 07/04 so paid quite a bit lower than they are today. Forward EPS look better than here, particularly MNG.

Hold NatWest, and will continue to do so. Think we bought the same day if I remember correctly? I bought on the day of the big drop, October ‘23 (SP dropped 16%) on ok results and Farage throwing his toys out the pram. Paid £1.74.

Profits up 36% (I’m sure you know) in Q1.

Attributable return to share holders up from 40 to 50% this year.

If Q2 can repeat Q1 results, and this is only my workings, I reckon they should return about 30.6p per share this year. I think it’ll be something like 8p interim and 7.1p special.

Again, only my thinking though so don’t take it as gospel. My preferred bank.
