Another interesting evening on here with this tiresome 'mine is better than yours' debate, involving the usual suspect (chickndinner), I see whilst writing this post that the thread in question has now been removed.
Chickn,
Even your guru Alan has asked you politely to stop with the UKOG vs ANGS baiting and the uber-ramping of Angus. Gloating at the misfortune of others who may be losing money on their investments is really not a nice trait, nor is the abuse of posters who challenge your claims.
You are like a broken record, ramping this share at the expense of a fellow weald player at every opportunity.
One chickn quote particularly caught my eye last night from the removed thread: 'When I post. I post facts! Period!!'
Brave words from someone who has been caught out being unable to provide any evidence to back up his 'facts' on at least 3 occasions in the past few weeks and who always resorts to abusing other posters who query the validity of his 'facts', telling them to 'DYOR before posting rubbish on the board'. It has then been proven that he has not practised what he preaches when asked to provide the evidence for his claims.
On the first occasion, he asked someone else (Alan) to provide a link to prove his fact (it was not a fact). DYOR, indeed.
On the second occasion, he finally decided that there was no way to prove his fact one way or the other (there was), and he suggested everybody should move on and discuss something else. It was not a fact.
On the third occasion, he disappeared from the board for the remainder of the evening. Again, it was not a fact.
As Alan would say 'Long sigh'.
.
If you repeat the same 'fact' enough times, it doesn't make it true, even when you include it amongst other true statements.
Oh, and there was another fact from the same post last night about preferring PV as a CEO as he 'went straight into the oil business from graduation'?
PV's LinkedIn bio, Bloomberg bio and other sources show that he was an Investment banker at Nomura and RBS (formerly ABN Amro) for 5 years and 7 months after completing his MBA (He started at Baker Hughes prior to this). OK, so he was involved in the O&G sector dealing with M&A and equity/debt capital market transactions, so you could technically argue that he was in the oil business during his time spent working for these Financial companies, but as a stickler for facts, I am sure chickn would agree that PV has actually spent almost a third of his working life in the finance industry.
Apologies for the long post. I don't often post on here because of certain posters across this and other boards and their endless ramping and de-ramping agendas.
At least chickn and I can agree on one thing, DYOR!
Good luck all genuine weald company holders. Exciting times ahead over the remainder of this year and beyond.
