It is a valid point that shareholders would like to have been part of the success, rather than be diluted through placings.
However, one of the biggest known events for any AIM company, is that there will be placings and dilution, as ths is how they need to raise cash to grow the company.
So, when investing, you can either accept this and know you will get diluted at some point, or take positive action, either by participating in the placings to maintain your same 'weight' in the company (if possible), or via the market, if this is not possible. I accept that more often than not, participating in a placing will not be possible.
I also fully accept that there will most likely be dilution at some point, it is all part of the risk of AIM investment.
No point moaning about it when it happens, although the circumstances and the price can often sting. That is the time to reassess your holding and th reasons for being invested (imo)

Irrelevant really, seeing as mcap would be very different, then to now.
You would need to look at the equivalent mcap to see what the 'old 7p' was comparable to now.
My guess is that it would be around 2p to 2.5p, so still a long way away

But what was the mcap of 932m shares at 5.41p in 2014 compared to the mcap today of 3.72bn shares at 5.4p?
Yes, there may have been dilution in shares in issue, but what about the change in the company valuation over that same timeframe. You can't look at one and not the other.
Comparing the SP as a like for like but ignoring the mcap when the shares in issue has changed considerably is disingenuos, no?
I see it being done on very AIM board to 'prove' a positive or negative point, when it is not a like for like comparison.

What were the reasons for you to invest here in the first place, and what has changd for you to make it a 'bad' investment now?
Was it a punt, or a researched decision?
What news could land in the near future to change things (good or bad) and what impact could that have on the SP?
What timeline did you invest for and how long are you prepared to wait for any material change?

I feel these (and others) are what you need to reconsider before making any decision on what to do, although the SP move over recent weeks is obviously not great currently. I am doing similar.
Good luck whatever you decide, it is a personal decision after all. Do not allow yourself to be swayed by posters on here though.

I went to school in London.
After some digging, I found out it was 1982.
There is a picture of us from the progrmme from a christmas concert at The Royal Albert Hall in December that year, but I won't post it here.

In my first year of secondary school. our school choir recorded a christmas song with Harry Secombe.
I remember 'bricking it', at the thought of being on top of the pops (but not because it would have been in the 70's, as it was in the 80's). It was almost as saccharine as that 'Grandma' song that came out a few years earlier.

I did forget to say in my post, that as far as ukog is concerned, Mirasol is a little ray of sunshine compared to you :-)

Having said that, If I was to chose, I would much rather sit down for a pint and a chat with regular contributors here like yourself, Mirasol and ocelot (and less frequent posters like Seadoc), than with the likes of Tymers and TH2 (plus DHC, of course). I would add Heid to the first list too.

Certain posters are 'clever' and although they repeat the same thing day in and day out, continually disrupting and deliberately 'winding up' the board with their half-assed comments, they make sure they stick to the rules and do not 'bite' at all the venom sent their way.
Unfortunately, those that do bite, and react, will often fall foul of LSE rules and get their posts removed, banned.
It's part of their game. They know the rules and know how stick to them in order to disrupt and work against the geuine holders and interested posters, staying on-topic, for the most part, and not getting drawn into personal attacks with their posts.
The game is loaded in their favour so long as people react and respond to them

It is worth pointing out that both WH Ireland and Zeus are AFC's joint brokers.
Zeus were only recently announced as a joint-broker and their SP target was, I think, from a broker note prior to their addition, perhaps leading towards their appointment, but I would say that neither represent a proper independent view.

I do not see either of them as particulalry unrealistic targets though, perhaps over the course of the next 6 months to 1 year, with the focus on the sector and imminent ExtremeE, together the most recent news about 2x manufacturing facilities, and potential news on several other fronts being a real possibility.
I may be taking some profits on the way, purely down to my own % ownership rule in my own portfolio, but 2021 looking like it could be a good year, or even 'Transformational' as many AIM companies like to tell their shareholders!

I nearly wrote similar on another board yesterday after one of his usual objective 'woe is everything' posts.
For more than 2 years, now Mirasol has posted, at best, a glass half-empty point of view across at least 3 boards that I have an interest in. I am not sure I have ever seen anything positive, at least without a caveat, or an additional negative point or two thrown in to make an overall pessimistic point.

Not that I object to an alternative view, if well presented, but it must be hard work going the extra mile to point out all the flaws in everything all of the time, Mirasol?

Is there anything in life that you are positive about, or follow with a joyous outlook?
Perhaps you have children, or grandchildren, although I suspect you dampen their hopes and dreams for the future with a constant reality check of just how hard life is, and how they should accept whatever gristly morsel life throws at them with gratitude as 'the end is high'.
Do you blow out their birthday candles before they have a chance to do it themselves and make a wish, using the experience as a metaphor as to how life will trample them underfoot if they do not regard everything and everyone with suspicion and mistrust, and view disappointment as 'the norm'?

To add my own caveat here, I do agree that there has not been too much to get excited about on the 3 stocks in question for long preiods of time, but things could certainly be looking up (imo) for two of them if things come to fruition in the coming months. One may need another resuscitation attempt, or two in order to show signs of life though.

Not disagreeing red, it is just the hypocrisy in his proud pro-UK stance, but then a sharp about turn when it would potentially impact on this business that he was proudly proclaiming would be a British built car at launch (putting all the other companies aside).
Similar to Dyson, not that I have an issue with their decisions per se.

If he wanted it to be British built, and was sincere in his ardent pro-Brexit viewpoint, he would have made it work in a UK location regardless of the cost/challenges.

A realistic, objective (and factual) summary imo.

It would be good to see the likes of TH2 provide some kind of factual response to show the positives, but unlikely.

There only seems to be a handful of truly positive posters left here now who can provide some kind of articulate 'pro' opinion, and even those seem to have become much more realistic with their views and expectations.

On what basis did you see this being 1p by Christmas?

Given the timescales for all the various projects, how could this be target have been possible, as you thought?
Given the placing and dilution, 0.20 to 0.30 seems more realistic, if we see some additional positive news (Brexit aside).
