I had Covid March 2020. Then there was not really any school for over a year( just a couple of months last year) due to lockdowns and remote teaching.
Retired teachers never had to shield. Only if they had a condition. I have been going in and out of my school to help since May.
Kids are great. Even the ones that play you up. ( just don’t let’em be rude!) . If you are human then they will be back. Stress comes with the territory but it is the system bleeding and monitoring and safeguarding sh*t that is ruining teachers’ lives. Most teachers that leave are the young new ones who -after 2or 3 years-realize they can’t be bled dry for another 45 years!!! You’re in the wrong job if you find the kids stressful. It’s the bl**dy govt. pressure that stresses. And it’s so unnecessary. Mandarins.Out of touch.
All kids have to wear masks now. There will probably be a crisis in 2-3 weeks when boosted teachers get Omicron. I probably will get it. Teach kids and 6 martial arts( inc. close contact grappling) so it’s inevitable.
Bozo screwed up. So obsessed with the economy that he repeated last Xmas wilfully. Knowing we would have a crisis in hospitals and schools ( and other services) due to Omicron absences. He ignored SAGE and other scientists yet again. He digs this nation’s grave . The other 3 countries imposed restrictions. The guy does not deserve the privilege of his positions ..mayor or PM or serial extra-marital parent. He simply does not care and has no idea. Truly. I am deeply politically involved too. I resigned Party membership last year due to his inane, plainly stupid decisions.
Successive govts. have ruined teaching anyway ..well before covid!!
Kids are easy if you know what you are doing.( in my school it is the Senior Management who don’t have a clue and are as rude as hell to the kids. Most teachers don’t struggle with kids.
Anyway……..it remains to be seen whether a crisis will happen. Not come about yet. Maybe 2-3 weeks. Or not at all . The only thing we can count on is that Bozo will screw up whatever. I have zero doubt on that.

But in my other investment ( Trin), the director options are based on the s/p reaching a prescribed level by a certain time . Vesting revolves around the s/p related to peers. Evidently not here. As yet we have no idea if there are any performance criteria which troubles me in principle but less than the other things in life at the moment(!?)

From a 5% drop, the market is not that phased now.
Possibly could have timed this better but it comes with a new appointment so may be linked.

Incentive for CFO to accept new appt.
Incentive for certain employees. Especially directors on 50% Placing loss.
Disincentive for shareholders. Dilution of shares even if piecemeal . Consistent potential selling pressure on top of relentless SO sells.
Poor timing for us . No uplift here.
With SO selling, could have waited.
Possibly incentive to attract Doyle.
Market not impressed. Down nearly 5%.
Directors will of course have expected such a reaction.
This is beneficial to directors and employees but certainly not shareholders.
This will just have to be bottom-drawered as I see news events ahead but too much downward pressure open-endedly without significant news. All that glitters………..(?)

As I said in previpus post, bloody decent and civil of him to have given such a fulsome response..and indeed to reply at all on Year’s Eve or and day at all.
I would agree we need to get behind him..why invest otherwise? And if he has the grace to personally reply then that means a lot in my book.
But business is business.Red in tooth and claw. Market cares nothing for grace or morality. Just money. SO cares only for himself and his fund. Shorters leech as that is their game.
Time time time. Yes the share price will right itself in time, but probably not as quickly as suggested or expected.No bravado re. rocketing share price. If it does then great. I will be oh so happy to be wrong.
To write an immediate email response is not common. But as he said…the banks and analysts and he himself do not understand the downer. I do. It’s Ocean Capital is it not???? Simples.
If it’s re biotech then fair enough. The downer on that holds little water. Probably risk-off for funds right now. We are having a hard time with this bast***d of a bug that won’t go away!! And Putin at the doorstep of Europe too. Not a settled time. Over 500k cases in the US yesterday and nearly 2m deaths. “ It’s the economy , stupid” ( Kennedy). An uncertain time.

Yes agreed. They can’t really publicly comment on Ocean Capital. But they could have at least admitted to it as it is market knowledge following TR1’s.
They do have to be careful what they say though .
Complete misunderstanding or ignorance of the trading though!! So many businesses fail to understand the workings of the stock market. Exactly the same in the two other companies I am in ( Ncyt and Trin).
I don’t feel greatly heartened by Mr.Peyton’s resonse. Fairly standard. More patience needed here. Much more I feel.
I don’t share this blithe enthusiasm posted.
It’s all already factored in. We are simply subject to a specific institutional market sell-off ( Ocean) and are unlikely to greatly rise until that is settled.
Shorters know this.
Give this 2 months minimum IMO.
And yes I am happy to be wrong.

DP does not however see that the “ high volumes of small trades” are absolutely not retsil investors. They are algo-driven price control. Few retail are buying or selling right now. No mention of SO. No mention of institutional involvement. A good reference to own investment and to faith in the science and its payoff. I do not agree that it is as strongly sector-related as he suggests though ( but I can be wrong). It was comfy at 80-85p and it is only SO selling off that has decimated this stock.
It is one of the higher profile ones of the ones he has mentioned. Nasdaq bio trend? Well yes. But not responsible for this degree of loss. More a consequence of sell off. He has not answered your question about SO and the sell off. A very civil and sensitive reply and empathic but ignores the sell-off apart from “ sectorising” it.

Welcome to you too. I’m just a visitor too. Albeit a long term one. Bought initially at £1.10p Placing . 2 directors put £1m in each at that price. Merck also added.
Lack of communication ( a void at one time) , ease of manipulation of price via algo, bios becoming out of fashion, risk off with covid, shorting, and Ocean Capital’s fund sale …all took us to 50p.
A great great place to buy in.
A painful place to be in as a holder.
My position is to hold and suffer with faith in the science and director buys but particularly Merck.

By my reckoning SO has about5% left with about 1.6% ‘ish TR1 due. Correct me if wrong please.

There are many here who will support your investment and you can learn much. Ultimately we are rather in the dark at the moment. SO selling. Someone accumulating including today ( regular buys around 53p). Shorters needing to buy back. Trials data due Q1 ( pancreatic cancer/keytruda -0518 etc./ Blautix potential financing)…all very open at the moment . SO selling is the thorn in the flesh. Welcome to the situation we are all sharing. I am a large holder with an average of about 89p. Shorters start to lose money over around 72p. They have to buy back sometime and may already be. SO has around 5% of the 4D shares yet to sell.
TR 1 is due since 6.5% last one. He is dumping due to loss in Forte which collapsed but may have ultrrior motives.
Some decent folk on here…some with large holdings-holding in faith as data so far in all areas has been good. But Oliviera has destroyed the share price from around 85p to 50p by selling.
I am sure many others will also answer any questions . As will I if I can. Chatsites are anonymous , so “you never know quite what you gonna get” ( Forrest Gump). But most will help.

I certainly agree with the “fck him let’s be seeing the back of him” bit.
He has knowingly devastated and continues to devastate this company’s share price. Sooner he sells the better but he holds more than a few. He is a ball and chain on this share price and the shorters know it. But no-one knows if he is aiming to sell all. Better to let it climb to £1 and start selling than drip-dumping at 53p.
FYI …wherever you are…someone was intent on buying quite a few wads at circa 53p today. So let 2021 roll away and let Q1 commence.

One cannot take any situation as being unfeasible in the stck market. I was in Petrofac at £9 /Tullow at £8.50/NRock/B and B/RBS pre Placing/Stobart pre-covid etc . “Never know how low a share can go”.
A Placing sub 50p would be very hard on everyone-inc Merck—who topped up at £1:10p. Oxford can withdraw funds certainly. They won’t lose out on their 85p Options! But news of Placings almost always leaks out. This company would take a hammering and it would only be because of poor data. There has been no poor data as yet. We do not know what nature the data is which is in store, or being compiled . We do not know the milestones.
With Oliviera selling, it is a hard one. Why release share -boosting data into a sell-off?
I have suspicions that Ocean C are playing a canny game and it is not a simple sell-off. Forcing the price to 50p has immense consequences and pressures for and on the BOD. And institutions are known to be in cahoots woth shorters. Sometimes they are the shorters .
A year is a long time.
We have no reason as yet to doubt the milestones being achieved….why put them there if too high. To lose half a million each is not nice for directors but won’t leave them destitute though.
I am of the opinion that some stuff is known. Forget the toothless FCA or govt. The latter are too busy screwing up society in England by infecting as many as possible with Omicron ( I predicted over 200k to my MP by NYear..we will exceed that easily and some will die. Boris is possibly the most amoral narcissistic leader I have ever known. Held myself back in Milton Keynes today!!)
The sequential buys today are either shorters settling or buyer(s) accumulating.
Keeping p/i’s in the dark is what the stock market aims to do. They get all the info-including leaked-before us. Inc. Placings when they happen.
IMO opinion there is stuff going on but the possibilities are so many.
All was misery in SNG last year . I was miserable. Different, but same principle.
I am afraid that faith and prudent market watching( like today’s buys) are called for to keep in touch. I like to bottom drawer but with 4D it is hard . I hate monitoring constantly but sometimes it is necessary.
Ultimately this is going nowhere in Q4. Q1 will be a wait …in my opinion.
So it comes down to trust in the science and results to date , does it not?? ( You should never trust a company …have some faith but trust alone is foolish.)

So I choose faith in the science and the skin which directors and Merck have in it.
Nervous? Yes. Only a rich man has no reason to be. So I am rightly nervous but lost everything in 2 building societies and much in RBS and nearly lost a ridiculous amountvin 2 Icelandic banks.
