Lost half my Sipp /Isa in oil and gold in 2014. Oil crashed as did my oil company and gold went to a criminal 15:1 rights issue ( Pog). So I have half what I did then and have to make most of it.
Your divvy and capital growth analysis are of course spot on and why you are here as you always say.

The 0.5 divvy cover has always bothered me a bit but the directors don’t seem worried.
When I first held Stob it was about 12% shorted I think.
It is comforting that you are holding other stocks that are more heavily shorted and not worried. I have had horrendous experiences of shorters ( pog/ Glen/ Tullow/Capita/Plus500). I lost out and no longer hold. Only hold tgis and remains of oil company in AIM. As oil has slumped again due to Trumpism I probably have more upside available here.
Risk/reward has always been skewed to risk on my pert. But I have my reasons...paid the price but learned so damn much that I am no longer gung ho !!
I continue to learn as the market evolves.Nearly 30 yrs of trading. This market is a different beast. Run by algo but still insider trading as always was.

Thanks for support mate. All in all I hold over 110k shares. It’s a lot. Accumulated over time and averaged down. In the high thirties atm. I nearly saw b/e at £1:31 !! But then it slumped again.
I appreciate the positive support. I have had to pump more in here because of the two big drops so am stupidly overweight. A sensible investor should not really be where I am right now.
Been in shares many many years and they still catch me out.
One of the most positive signs for any investor is large director buys/ ownership though. The last two were at £1:04 and £1:06 so they got bargain basement prices.
I feel that apart from the City traders milking this tgat Merian are holding this down. But shorters have to buy back sometime.Occasionally they get caught out so that’d be nice !! But rare!

A while longer at these prices I think. Rather depressing unless you are loading up. My average dropped to the thirties but it feels so far off and a humungous loss at 33% . This could I guess go on for weeks. Traders are making a tidy profit each day. Nice if you are waiting to buy back but you can never call the bottom in a share.

That Woodford closes one fund to trading today. Holds 2.2% of Stob in it fwiw. Unless he has sold then it’s only a small portion. and doesn’t mean shares are sold.

Encouraging that 2 directors still buying. I was wondering yesterday if they would. A steal at £1:03 and I thought why the hell don’t they buy whilst it’s here. Good move on their part.
Need merian to exit. Their presence is depressing the price.

0.5% divvy cover not helpful but perhaps legal costs will not drain the coffers. It’s a case now of thos being a city traders’ share for a while again. I would estimate down a fair chunk tomorrow with no news until dividend but it is played like a harp and they make a fortune from Stob. So who knows? Severely overdone from £1.49 to £1.03 though.

How much lower will the AT city traders drive this ? It is at their mercy as always. AT AT AT. Bring it down. At some stage Meridian will bring it further down or pay the 3p and sit it out. Small beer when you can manipulate 3p in 30 seconds anyway. Trading range may be £1:03-1:10 now and for a few days. Apart from Plus 500 this is the craziest volatile share I have been in.

Only thing I’ll add is that shorters increased short yesterday and they control the proce with AT’s. I don’t feel it’s profit taking regarding price. It is clearly very very carefully manipulated to be where it is all the time. It is a profit machine as it is a Pmnochio share. They control every penny and part penny.
Same with all the AT shares...usually stamp-duty free ones ( Glen/ Plus 500/PFC etc). It is quite criminal how the price os directly controlled. Not a real market at all.

Appreciate your sentiments. Nervous as I own a bery large amount now averaging about £1.35. Nearly saw it today. A 10p drop is a huge amount to me. I bought at 1:14 which brought my average down but sold my other share at a loss to do so. I cannpt commit any more even if it hit £1.02 again . I hold too many !! It is painful to see the red number grow so large. I have held a long time so it is hatd seeing it sink from £2 to where we are now. It’s good if you can buy more when it drops. I’m all out of funds now ! I will trust what you say. I first bought Stobart 7 years ago....it’s abput the same price now!!
