In over 35 yrs of investing I have no idea what the small cap is. I only know Frse 100/250/350/all share index and AIM. As you know I have much invested. What are the potential implications of relegation to small cap vis a vis p/i’s and the share price??Thanks

and analysis. I feel the demand for lower-stress travel is immense. Even through Brexit this demand will continue. We are an overworked and over-stressed country but it reaps rewards in “internally produced” GDP. We are overpopulated and under-resourced re. recreational and sporting needs. I visit the US a lot as my son went to Uni in N. Orleans. Severe social disparity but incredible recreational and sporting facilities. No need to travel. Southend is taking the overspill which imv will explode Brexit or not. Contracting economy never stopped people travelling. In fact beer consumption often rises in recessions as does the need to escape !! I.e people want stimulation...and travel is booming.
Energy? I can’t comment. Except that low oil prices benefit Stob.
I would like to know if the 250k trade after hours was a buy or sell.
I think a buy.
It would explain today’s flat trading price. But I am not syre.

Mr. Brady et al need higher s/p. All the instis including the popular Mr. Woodford need higher that £1.04. If he were to sellnit’d be shooting funds in the foot . I speculate of course.
Stob’s s/p needs time to find its feet.
I am a little confused though. I never follow indexes. Is Stob relegated? I thought it was in the FTSE 250 (?)

This is at the same level as when I was first investing 2011/2022. Middle of UK recession. Ridiculous to be here now.
It was mainly held by private investors if remember correctly. Low volume trading share then. Unlike now. I know much abput the new marketplace but it still catches me out. I am completely open to where Stobart will go from here. It is an autobot controlled share so hence volatile and unpredictable. This week could lead anywhere....upwards I hope but never count on . Still a short term autobot share.

I don’t have the luxury of your free shares but I have 7 yrs. in Stobart and a lot has changed. I too hope they don’t dilute themselves and get too ambitious. They have history of having arrogant and greedy directors..I don’t like that but it is often the way of cut-throat business unfortunately. Even good old Tesco and Volkswagen and RBS etc etc lied to us. It truly is dog eat dog and the banks are often the worst . I have much much experience.
Onward with Stob...see what next few months bring!!

Looks like city trafers are topping up before div. Manipulated rock bottom price. Probably see p/i sell out on ex div day which is a waste really. Holding at these proces is deeply sound.
I bought more and-right or wrong-hold more than most of BOD. A very unsound business decision according to investing criteroa. But I’m gonna doe one day and I’ll have followed my own judgment right or wrong. Been in Stob since 2012. It was same share price then !!! Cyrus? Jeffreys? Cantor Fitzgerald? Directors? Positive. Shame to sell out at these prices but everyone makes own decision. I think many will.
No way this shpuld be where it is though. £1.52 only 6-8 weeks ago. And no real reason for the fall. A good trading share. But a cracking hold.

but to be honest it is par for the course with many companies in the present climate. Stobart is one of a huge number of institutions which could value employees more. As a govt. employee for 40 years ( public service) I would never do that job again in the conditions now imposed. It is abusive and appalling and most new entrants who receive a bursary hand-out to train...leave after 2 yrs!! That is the govt. !! Same for police/civil service/NHS low level staff etc Companies are often same or worse. Stobart is not a special case by any means!!

Sadly however I do think this is likely to go sub £1 either pre or post ex-dividend date. Sad for me..maybe not some others who can buy in.

Is opportunity for institutions and Merian. It is planned. We have an 8% drop since 8;00 Friday. Nothing has changed. I took a buying opportunity a little too early today. But sub 1.06. The business is not being punished..it’s just the market making money. More of the same next 2 days I feel.

I see no reason to be at 106p. All the latest news points to 150 +. Jeffeeson has 175. Ignore HSBC. Upgrade but lower target (?). CG 350p but no way! Overdone.
Stob needs to rerate.

Re. Merian I don’t tgink that the div is an issue. Only 3p. They can employ the bots to bring the price down 3p in seconds. Bedore or after the div.
