AMED have contributed a further US$2.5m towards drilling since last year (US$5m in total so far) and intend to add a 3rd Tranch (US$2.5m) if not already done so, for more drilling at HESDABA and ASSALEYTA. With nothing for PANDORA, they must have reached their target/milestone (resource definition maybe?) for this prospect. An MRE on one prospect would give some idea as to the value of all three although HESDABA looks better with 10.75m @ 26.27 g/t Au incl 1.22m @ 211 g/t Au (Hd-D-17). Oriole have a carrying value of £784k on this investment.

Promising drill results at Bakassi 1. Discovery of a post mineralisation fault and continuity of strike 200m or so to the west. Soil sampling of 271ppb and outcrop for probable mineralisation all the way (3km) to Lawa West.
Bakassi 2 yet to be re-assessed. Different host rock and brecciation "supporting an interpretation of a more pervasive fluid flow and gold deposition" which in my view could be the 'dark horse' for this prospect. Then similar development as with Bakassi 1 through to (3km) Lawa East.
Considerable scope at this prospect.
With two host rocks (mafic schist and tonalite) running in parallel you could up with double the strike length (Bakassi 1/Lawa West) + (Bakassi 2/Lawa East).

Something yon can always depend upon in the Mining Sector is that everything always takes longer!

Golds set-up here is super-bullish, on the verge of a major upside breakout from a gigantic chart formation. Gold has just weathered the Fed's most extreme hawkish lurching ever, still enjoying a solid uptrend. Gold investment demand is set to soar as this raging inflation unleashed by the Fed's epic money printing persists. The higher Gold marches as investors return, the more traders will flock back to Gold stocks.
Also, IamGold have reached an agreement with RCF Management, a 5.2% shareholder to appoint three new Independent Directors including a new Chair.

What's the hold-up? Government and regulatory approval would be my guess. They did change their Mining Code in 2020.
What are the benefits? Once this deal is over the line, the benefits will be to one and all.

As another poster yesterday mentioned the key word here is 'exclusivity'.
Not necessarily a set period for all parties to conclude an agreement but a set period free from distraction from others who may also have an interest in the Prospect.

Very informative email posted here today from Mr Bird and in particular the update on zinc.
The Star Zinc project was assessed and priced based around processing at the Sable Plant. With Jubilee's understandable enthusiasm for copper right now, resurrecting the zinc circuit has been put on hold thereby delaying Galileo's route to market.
The details and specifics surrounding the Star Zinc location are unknown to us. However, Mr Bird has still come up with a solution. This is what makes the difference with this company imo.

Correction - best till last?

....continuing with the previous post for the Far South prospect at Senala, at this early stage, two conceptual pits with a MRE of 155k oz @ 1.26 g/t Au are in outline.
IamG have to date carried out AC drilling to a depth of 10m over the entire area and two DD's (FADD21-030/031C) to test the upper level and for continuity at depth for the north pit.
At the south pit, historic drill hole FARC-00007 20m @ 31.13 g/t Au, drilled at azimuth 295 degrees falls outside the current pit outline.
Interesting. Drilled back in 2013, the results were so good they paired it giving results - FADD-00013 7m @ 1.64 g/t Au for comparison. Nothing like. Had it re-assayed by two independent laboratories and re-assayed by the original lab. Results proved accurate and no discrepancies with quality control protocols. Reason given at the time was either an extreme nugget effect and/or the likelihood of more than one mineralised structure in close proximity. Quoting the presence of linear features from a recent airborne magnetic survey striking NE, NNE, NW and N.

Including: 1m @ 229.51 g/t Au from 19m.
1m @ 67.78 g/t Au from 21m.
1m @ 115.5 g/t Au from 22m.

1m @ 54.23 g/t Au from 25m.

Interval 20-21m is missing due to mechanical failure of the rig.

1600 DOLLAR DIRT! "YOU CAIN'T BE SERIOUS"
Tennis was in the news at the weekend. For those who are old enough to remember.

I guess we have the weather to thank for these results. Poor ground conditions at Madina Bafa meant the rig moves to Fare. The weather's not all bad.
Going back to the early days when Stratex (now Oriole) purchased Silvrex and acquired Dalafin (now Senala) their geologist remarked he was getting good grades and intersections but not always where he expected to find them. His explanation at the time was the widespread occurrence of CUIKASSE, a hard crust of iron-cemented material, typical in tropical environments where heavy seasonal rainfall causes extreme downward leaching of most elements from the upper part of the soil profile.
Back to the present and Fare Far South. The first fence line drilling with good surface expression (abundance of red dots) came up with 35m @ 3.61 g/t Au (FARC21-0112) equaling the best drill intersection (36m @ 3.59 g/t Au) at Boto (2.5m oz) and 14m @2.09 g/t Au (FARC21-0111).
The second fence line drilled further south also with good surface expression (abundance of red dots) did n't (imo) meet with expectation.
The third fence line, results today, where there is least surface expression has come up with 5m @ 12.45 g/t Au (FARC21-0136), 12m @ 0.62 g/t Au (FARC21-0137) and 1m @ 6.08 g/t Au (FARC21-0135).
The hypothesis being presented here is what you see at surface may not tally or match up with what you have immediately below ground. Perhaps what you see at surface is maybe 200m, 300m or more farther north.
So standing on today's fence line at Fare Far South (5m @ 12.45 g/t Au) looking NE towards the next drilled hole (FADD-025 for 12m @ 7.09 g/t Au) some 900m away and should there be any merit in the aforementioned hypothesis.........

Presumably once sitting around the table you can amicably agree upon anything you like. 80/20% + royalty is a predetermined baseline or starting point. The royalty however is quite valuable and could be sold on elsewhere.
