Oriole Resources20 Jan 2024 22:17
177 trades and 98M+ traded volume on a 'no news' day, Oriole is finally being recognised for all the right reasons and the true potential on offer here.
Oriole has legacy assets from it's former days in Europe and West Africa (earn-in agreement with Managem in Senegal) but the company's primary objectives are in Cameroon.
Location
Cameroon is a highly underexplored jurisdiction that recently underwent a radical overhaul of mining codes and cadastre to the benefit and advantage of the mining sector and in particular, exploration. The country's economy is dominated by commodity exports, oil, gas, timber, agriculture and with oil representing 40% or more, Cameroon are turning to metals, bulk, base, precious and the energy transition for it's future.
Commodity
Oriole's main focus is Gold. With the Fed's eventual reduction in interest rates beit inflation is now under control or to stimulate the economy against the impending recession or both, makes Gold the more attractive investment. Gold's safe haven appeal and store of wealth has lead Central Banks worldwide to increase their holdings in the metal to record levels. The Gold Price is at record highs and is forecast to go even higher this year and beyond.
Assets
The Cameroonian portfolio, CLP 9 licences, Bibemi and Wapouze cover over 4400 sq km. To the west of Cameroon, Mali, Cote D'Ivoire, Senegal, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Ghana, formerly known as the Gold Coast and Africa's largest gold producer have been a consistent supplier of gold discoveries. To the east, lies the DRC, another highly prospective gold jurisdiction hosting the 13-14M oz Kibali Gold Project and despite decades of minimal exploration across much of the country, is reported to have the world's 10th largest gold reserve. Cameroon sits at the epicentre.
Wapouze licence is set for a change of commodity. Bibemi has a JORC Mre upgrade to 375k oz Au, the first Resource of it's kind in Cameroon, together with the three prospects Bakassi 2 and Lawa East/West in close proximity could easily surpass one million ounces. The district scale CLP includes 75 km of the TBSZ, a major splay off the Central African Shear Zone and prospective for orogenic style gold mineralisation having already returned 134 g/t Au at surface.
Finance
So far, 2 licence area's JV'd for 50% apiece. Bibemi in the north and Mbe, one licence area and part of the CLP district scale land package in Central Cameroon
US$500k signature payment received for Bibemi plus a US$4M commitment from BCM for exploration.
US$50k deposit received for Mbe, the balance, US$950k to be paid in two tranches, one at the end of this month, the other at the end of Feb'24 plus a US$4M commitment from BCM for exploration.
Lanstead agreement providing Oriole with a monthly income for G & A, overheads etc until Sept'25.
Monetisation from the legacy assets.
Conclusion
If this was a game of Poker, Oriole would hold 4 Aces imo, LOCATION, COMMODITY, ASSETS and FINANCE..
