1/ Senala Licence.
A six year JV agreement to spend US$8M for 70%. Managem, the new partners have acquired 51% for $4M. With a shortfall of an estimated $2.3M exploration spend for 70%, Managem and Oriole are in discussion to either extend the partnership, a sale or any other option mutually acceptable.
A 472.5 sq km greenfield, orogenic gold style licence area located within the Kedougou-Kenieba gold district, host to over 40M oz Au and Barrick's Loulo-Gounkoto (7.9M oz) mine. IamGold, the former JV partner were to acquire the licence primarily as additional ore feed to the adjacent Boto mine (feasibility stage) and focused on Madina Bafe one of the five prospects on the licence and nearest to Boto. Fare, another prospect further north received some drilling and delivered an exceptional result of 35m @ 3.61 g/t Au at Fare Far South. A JORC compliant inferred resource of 155k oz @ 1.26g/t Au was obtained by Oriole from 80 holes, 78 of which were drilled by Stratex at Fare South and exceptional results of 20m @ 31.13 g/t Au, 59.6m @ 2.2 g/t Au and 70m @ 1.46 g/t Au but with no subsequent infill drilling between the two, South and Far South, the considerable potential at Fare as a standalone entity is yet to be realised.
