The Western Foreland/Kamoa projects have been prominent of late (Xtract) but with Zambia declaring a state of emergency through drought and associated issues, food, power supply (hydro) etc, it might be prudent to initially focus efforts elsewhere, Zimbabwe for example, in the shorter term.

Good point GoH, a CEO from one of the Majors said only recently "for every $100 increase in the price of gold adds $3-400M to the bottom line (profit)".

Lithium and a recovery is farther on down the line, gold is where it's at. US$2162 up $130+ this week is only the beginning. Central Banks have been buying at records levels (China - 10t last week) for two years or more and high/over priced stocks are starting to look vulnerable. The Fed and the ECB are mulling a June interest rate cut when confident inflation is in check, the Dollar will devalue, so for the best value-add per £ spent at this time, Galileo would do well to drill Bulawayo.

Exactly LL. Everyone is looking for copper right now and not only the Majors. The Saudi's acquired 51% of a Zambian mine complex for US$1.1B late last year and the Indonesian's are building the 'go to hub for battery metals' including copper. Right time, right place!

Interesting to find out how the $31M is derived for 5%. Equates to $620M for the whole licence area/project.

Probably true for Lithium (the new kid on the block in relative terms) with the Chinese' massive input into Zimbabwe over the past 3+ years, banning exports of unprocessed material to increase the in-country value chain for an industrial metal etc, but gold is different. Established for a lot of years, the mechanism or route to market may change with successive governments but the basics are tried and tested. Take Caledonian for example. An operator of the Blanket Mine and now expanding with the Bilbaoes prospect. Going well it would seem.
