The Zinc price at a 12 month high, a 20% increase yoy. Both Glencore and Trafigura have or are about to bring smelters back on-line, T/Charges have almost halved in an attempt to draw-in more concentrate and Boliden said today, it plans to re-start the Tara Zinc Mine (Europe's largest) placed on care and maintenance in 2023, when Zinc prices hit a 3 year low, could increase activity at Kash itu and incentivise the local (smale-scale/artisanal) miners. The Sable refinery has 5mt+ of waste residue from former times on- site, there are numerous other zinc/lead waste dumps in the surrounding area which the Government has said in the past it intends to clear. A rising Zinc price could create a 'window of opportunity' for all parties concerned.

If your interest is 'pure exploration' then this is as good as it gets. Pioneering spirit, new horizons, the desire, ability, passion to get up, get out there and give it a go, in somewhere like deepest Africa and Cameroon with minimal prior exploration and data is exceptional. Good luck to him and his next venture. It will certainly be very interesting to see where he goes next!
