I have had flu years ago (now have a vaccine every year) and Covid very recently, Covid was bad but not as bad as Flu for me

The stats don't lie for deaths though from Covid.

Again, my original point was only about condolences for death by one way compared to none for another.

My point was though if people expect it still to be the leading news story every night 18 months on then they don’t live in the real world.

What you are prepared to take your chances with is fine. Just saying the loss of life is no less tragic in either case.

Also my point wasn’t to dumb it down.

You try telling someone who has just lost a family member to cancer their death is less tragic and worth less condolences or news time than someone who died from Covid..

My point is the tragedy is still the same for all untimely deaths.

However, to put things into perspective, 450 people die of cancer every day. That never makes the news unless it’s someone famous.

Also on average 70 people die each day from flu in the UK.

Don’t see the BBC or the BB’s on LSE paying condolences to them either.

Also remember the figure quoted is people who have returned a positive Covid test less than 30 days before they died.

Things will get worse in winter though.

Ah sorry I thought you were talking about some of the crap that get's spoken about on here like "history in the making" and stuff like that.

Maybe we have a different opinion on rainbow chasing, I see a lot of talk on here about "retirement plans" and "what I can do if the SP hits £30", that kind of thing, that is what I mean by rainbow chasers. And quite often it's by people who are at an age when they should be nowhere near aim as an means of financial security.

I think the new manes that come and go are probably traders, probably the least rainbow searchers out of anyone.

You are right, a lot of rainbow chasers here, just be glad a of a solid return on your investment, 20% + is great, 30%, really great, anything more is amazing!

The secret for the future is not to be a covid stock at all. Every £ made from covid is one that has to be replaced by something else to support the SP.

Really frustrating!!

However if the value is truly there it will always win. Either the company get's bough at a decent uplift of the current price or the share price will go up.

At some point this is going huge!

Not sure how long it will take or quite how big it will go but one thing is for certain, everybody will be wishing they had bought as many as possible at these levels.

I totally respect anybody's personal choice when it comes to the vaccine. But once again you are basically spreading an anti vaccine message with your own agenda that Novacyt is an alternative to a vaccine.

At best I find this is dangerous, and at worse I would say it’s total unscrupulous and no better than then charlatan faith healers peddling snake oil for personal profit!

If you are making claims like “vaccines don’t stop transmission” then please back that up with your own credentials and evidence to make such a statement.

It was just a general observation of both rampers and the part time derampers.

You can be frustrated and still positive. If I wasn't overall positive about the future of any investment I would move it to somewhere I felt it would do better. People should back their own convictions not just sit and hope.

Regarding traders, it is what it is, you cant control what people do or say what they do, whether true or not.
