Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Where do these fantasists come from…
One minute
“With AVCT I bought 20K shares in March, 2022 and sold them at 0.88 in April for a £4,000 profit.”
Next is…

RE: Over 21 Million shares sold09 Jan 2023 15:31
The two trades of 1M each at 13:26 and 13:28 were me topping up, so they were buys, not sells.
Please spare us from all this nonsense.
He is just seriously bitter about being 90% down in Novacyt, thrown good money after bad averaging down and just ended up in deeper hole.
It’s just embarrassing to be honest!
And still not answered the question as to why he falsely claimed to buy shares in a company if he thought the SP was already 75% too high.
Time for everyone to report him.
Why do people post this nonsense about a share price.
Look at market caps not SP! Although this makes the comparison five times worse!
Blame the CEO, blame the board, blame the company not the markets, for making the business un-investible with no vison or strategy for future growth or value.
Honestly you are viewing this as someone who still has a vested interest in what happened during Covid.
Clawing back 100 million wont make the news at all! What about the billions lost in bounce back loan fraud, completely forgotten and the public doesn't really care anymore.
10 Billion has just been written off for faulty PPE, nobody bats an eyelid.
This DHSC case is only important to Novacyt and us shareholders, and I would say it's a coin flip if we win it. Even if we do will be surprised if the SP get's back to £1.50 on that news and it will be a very short lived bounce.
I doubt it would even make the newspapers.
The government getting tough on companies that profited out of Covid would actually be a vote winner to the general public.
If there was a share purchased for every Beechknot post this would be at an all time high!
When you buy shares once you click that button everything else is out of your hands.
After watching the current CEO and BOD be completely negligent at the wheel the only option to take back some type of control was for me to sell some. I have to admit, even taking the loss, it felt good, as I was in control of that!
Normally I am a very patient person with investments but I will see how the next few week goes and if I should pull the rest
I really feel bad for those who have a lot on the line here, even Porky/DRB, I never ever believed the ramps but also I never thought it could turn out quite so badly.
For a decent one yes. Long haul flights for two people easily take 7-8k of that and that is if you are flying east. If you are going west then it's more than that.
This was a 2nd time short term trade turn very bad for me, and annoyingly had the opportunity to get out in November with a reasonable profit for the 2nd time.
I always felt safe though with the money they had and thought that would really propel the company forward. Perhaps I am being to inpatient but all I can can currently see in front of us is decreasing sales numbers.
I just sold 50% of my holding, 6361 shares, had to edit the order down as it only partially filled at a loss of 21K. Not a huge amount but sill very annoying, it's the price of decent holiday.
Will see what happens with the other half, but now we are below £1 who knows where the bottom is.
If it bounces they I will be just as happy as everyone else.
I am very close to calling it quits too although if I was going to sell I suppose I would have done it by now,
Valju does have a point though, I have been holding all the way through Avacta, and that is bouncing back nicely and I was much deeper under water there in real money terms if not %.
I suppose the difference is, currently Avacta have a much better story to tell and a clear direction.
All hope on Novacyt at the moment seems to be either a short live bounce from winning a court case or a another pandemic that they can cash in on. Not really reasons for anyone new to invest...
The board really need to sort their ****, get some M&A and show some future potential for revenue growth.
When are the next results due? We have to expect they will be even worse.
75% loss for me now.
That means you need a 300% rise on anything else just to break even.
Absolutely terrible…
Valju, comparing two companies share price is like comparing two different bank notes of foreign currency...
Also markets are typically priced on opportunity or dividend capabilities not cash, unless you are the likes of Apple where the amount of cash is huge, or if you have no operating cash.
Novacyt need to create some forwarding looking opportunity for us, to date we haven't seen that.
Always with the manipulation crap..... blame the company not the market..
Well I think you are an insider at NOVACYT, AIl Imo...
I am not expecting any change at the helm, DA wouldn't leave this job because he doesn't get a pay rise, as with current performance it would a stain on his CV and show everyone he is not CEO material.
Share price was around £2.70 when he started, its now 45% lower so I am sure he wouldn't be expecting a pay rise with kind of performance.
And if he did leave over that then clearly he wasn't the right man for the job in the first place and just there to milk the company for his own gains.
DA was happy enough with his salary when he joined, and this job was a big step up where he has failed to prove himself so far. So a pay rise for what exactly?
Trust me he wont be going anywhere or it will be the last CEO role he ever has. This isn't football management where you fail at one club and the offers start rolling in the next day.
Pharma PI, the fake account setup by someone at Novacyt!
Please explain the reasons for voting for a payrise?
Great news for them and hopefully us!
Although a 50% rise from next to nothing for Abingdon still leaves it 70% down ytd and that is only taking into consideration a high of 60p and not the highs of £1.05 from early 2021
Seriously Louis.. come on man…
Novacyt are not dragging this out, the DHSC is in the driving seat on this and clearly believe they have a strong case.
On a different subject, I had an email link today from IG index to vote on the July AGM. Interestingly this is the first time I have had that, Nova must be putting pressure on all brokers to make voting easier.
Not been on for quite some time as nothing here but to wait for it to improve.
However that has to be up there as one of the most ridiculous posts I have seen so far, and there has been a lot!
So you are saying that the DHSC has a dispute with a publicly listed company that is mainly in the hands of French investors, just so that it can’t be bought by another company.
What is just as bad is that is got 4 upvotes!
Absolutely no way am I voting for their pay rise!
You have to be kidding, I don’t even know how they can have the cheek to ask!
I kinda have the same thoughts myself WelshtTrader.
I haven’t even organised my votes yet, might be easier to just abstain.
