Kaeren, that is very true I don’t jump to the defence of PCR testing on the Avacta BB but why would I?
There is typically not much mention abouy Novacyt on there, certainly from a deramping view or a constant whining about the unfairness of the compatible mcaps.

I am not invested in PCR ltd I am invested in Novacyt.

Well if people bring up other stocks on this BB that I am invested in then I will defend them.

Especially when people start getting into the very silly game of comparing market caps of very different companies.

Novacyt have a great opportunity and I want and really could do with it working out.

My point is simply that they are currently asking the market to guess.
We know they make Covid tests, we know they sell a lot of Covid tests, we know they have a decent amount of cash but after that the future strategy is complete black box.

They might have the best ideas in the world and have the skills to implement it but until they start sharing that information then we are always going to struggle with the SP.

Perhaps all will be clear soon, if not then there will be no reason for the SP to rise considerably or hold any rise.

But there has already been to much Avacta talk on here.

I would love the CEO of Novacyt to come out with a great set of 2021 numbers and something really exciting for the future and their plans for cash .

Then we might all be much happier here.

Moniman, the big mistake you seem to be making is thinking Avacta is only a Covid play.
It’s anything but that, actually as has been proved so far Avacta are not very good at all at selling boxes.

The markets are looking past Covid, currently Novacyt has no story for this. That is the frustrating part, is it that they don’t want to share it or is that they don’t even know themselves…

Non dividend paying growth stocks are typically valued on what the markets believes the future potential is.
Avacta have shown the market many things that would lead them to believe the future value could be much higher than current sales.
Have a look at Rivian, I think they have only sold 1000 cars but are valued at over 100 billion!

What have Novacyt shown the market so far about the future. I remember Graham mentioning they wanted to become a midcap, the market needs a bit more meat on the bones rather than a one off statement.
I think in the last update they were talking about the hope to maintain less than double digit growth over the next few years, again that hardly excites the market.
How can the market value a company higher when the company refuses to say what the potential future looks like.
They need to come up with a story that shows huge future potential and that it is investible.

This is also the reason why there are no major II investors.

Had I timed the bottom like that I think I would have taken the 100% profit two week later!

As more time has passed I am now just not convinced the DHSC dispute is going to be quite the catalyst it would have been had it happened much sooner.

A complete win and instant hit of 30 million as a windfall on the numbers will definitely have some impact but does it mean much more than that for the future?
Just a compromise resolution and a small win on the revenue without a new contract probably won’t have much of an impact.
Had it happened sooner then people would have felt it opens up the potential for some new big contracts with the DHSC. I am not sure the same potential is now there going forward.

I have just seen the pattern too many times, I will definitely follow the herd on this as they are driving the ups and downs. Might as well play the same game like I did before.

Who cares about how it looks, these are not companies selling to consumers, they don’t have to worry about it.

It seems you do one thing but then don’t agree it’s right for others.

I have seen it so many times on Aim, the old rule of buy on rumour and sell ok news has never been so true with stocks linked to Covid.

It was always my plan for this stock, and it proved well so I will go back to that.

What a ridiculous suggestion, they don’t want to talk about profits because people are suffering!

Who the hell is going to hear or take any notice about the money they are making apart from investors or potential investors.

There are much bigger names making a lot of money out of this who live to shout about it!

But there hasn’t been any huge gains or huge news.

Like I say, 20% gains compounded is a great wealth builder and means great gains.

Yes, I think you are right Karen, my biggest mistake has not been trading Avacta. Alas at 45% down and hugely invested I won’t get a big opportunity for a while.
Which is shame as at the current price there is probably a very easy 30%-40% in a short space of time.
The Covid stock for me has been this one because I have traded it. I got greedy in November and didn’t stick to my usual plan. I won’t make that mistake again.
20% gains, compounded each time are very effective wealth builder.

Alderbaron, how is your short doing, 6 points down already I would say. That will be giving you a sleepless night tonight, plenty more of those to come for you son.

The best thing to do here is trade it like everyone else seems to do, that is what I will be doing on the next good rise.
