Going by past performance of this BOD I am not as excited as I was after the offer. Quite perturbed at the lack of any news whatsoever , has the company downed tools? Silly me topped up at 19.2 so peeved at that one too. I hope they spring a surprise but at the moment I can't see a blockbuster offer in the making. 25 may be it. Hope it's higher but gut feeling says this isn't going to go as high as we'd like. Still , i'd be happy with a sale @ 25 cash just to be done with the BOD. Oil investments are off the table for me after this one . Fingers crossed it sells.

TGF , as always an honest poster from the III days , and still an honest reflection of your thoughts today of which I agree entirely.
There is no reasoning with those new investors who hold there own dreams.. Wether they are paid or not is another point , i'm not so sure that happens.
This is a dog regardless of opinions , it takes a hit in the pocket for peeps to realise sometimes , it really does focus the mind..

It would be a different story if 1) He invested his own cash 2) He stopped taking shares from the company for doing nothing. Just 2.1 million last time......you couldn't make it up ....

Fevertree thanks for your thoughts. TBH I would be glad to be out at anything over 30 asap , will give me adecent profit so no complaints. Also will be glad to see the back of the oil sector which is becoming increasingly out of fashion.

if your average is 14.5 as you said earlier you're still up about 4.5 k so what have you moan about giving 1000 up probably temporarily?

If these blocks are so full of oil as is suspected , I cannot see why JW would take a low ball offer having bought a rake at over 17p for his last tranche. That was the only reason I bought more , because he knew the value of the company better than me. So surely if the offer from the highest bidder is too low , we can just keep drilling and prove up the assets. I am sure JW has another year to spare in AMER. Just cannot see less than 32p on this. If it doesn't sell , then lets take 48 to 65 next time. It really is a no brainer unless the BOD need retirement , and I don't think JW was looking for retirement when he bought his shares at circa 17.5 last year to make a 20% return. I suspect he was looking for double his money.

I meant it has basically settled at the reported up 22% from last nights report. People have been legally mugged today , it's a disgraceful situation of which the regulators couldn't care less , or they have no idea how to deal with it. I suspect the first scenario!!

It was reported on this site last night at 5.06pm that the deal was being discussed , it reported shares were up 22% , which they weren't at the close btw. Not sure what the open was , it was close to 40% I think , on what? Then from up 57% down to up 28% in a jiffy , on what? So basically that is where it has settled , after the crooks have taken the mugs to the cleaners. Such a rigged market , and perfectly legal , the authorities don't want to know.

Does it really matter if it breaks 19 or 20 in the next week or two? Ff's the only thing that matters is the take out price unless of course you intend selling at 19 or 20 , which from what i'm reading on this board nobody in their right mind is going to. Relax and let it unwind. Could go straight to 28....

I predict a stalemate on the OB fiasco , there is no way millions of bucks are gonna change hands on this. The biggest loser will be the no win no fee lawyers , and you guys will be hit for 15% on the sp.
