I think that April prices are now just part of the history books and we won't be getting those opportunities any time soon.

I'd say the Times was several weeks too late. I was even tempted to add a little more today but chickened out as it wasn't clear that the downward drift would not continue.

To be expected from visitors to this board who don't understand how dividends work or what total return is. If capital growth is what you are after you can go somewhere else but don't dismiss those who do understand as being some sort of fanatic. If the facts don't convince you then I'm afraid we can't help you.

Surely a more likely outcome would be for the notes to sit outside the tax wrapper in a taxable account. This would probably depend more on the broker involved.

But I would first like to understand what the company has achieved during HY1 25 and since this is a relatively simple company, it ought not to be too difficult for the information here to be much clearer. All I can do is infer a few things from the figures (eg HY1 2025 orders look fairly poor, revenue recognition looks very low)

First thing to note is that you've forgotten dividends which will almost always be the largest component of returns at LGEN.

Second, that dividend stream is being valued by the market based on prevailing interest rates. 5 years ago we were in the middle of Covid with interest rates at historic lows but this changed in 2022 when interest rates reverted to more "normal" long term rates. Rather than comparing the return to the FTSE, try comparing it to the return on medium-term government bonds and you'll see a very different picture.

Are cost reductions worse than revenue growth? I think the market sometimes prefers the cost reductions, particularly if there are concerns about long term profitability. But I think here we have a bit of both and I'm betting the market will like this update once it has digested the news.

They announced an earlier deal in May, also locally based. This may just highlight the wider potential for this if they were to get traction across as a larger area.

I think this is just one of those times when the share is taking a breather and just moves within a fairly narrow range 540-575. Most people are sitting on fairly impressive gains so hardly any cause for concern just yet.

Eagle, Jubilee buys the ROM from supplier, turns it into some form of the relevant metal, then sells the product back to the supplier.

But if that's the basic form of the tolling agreement, any left-over material should belong to Jubilee.
